The Penderwicks: A Summer Tale of Four Sisters, Two Rabbits, and a Very Interesting Boy (Penderwicks ...89 reviews
Jeanne Birdsall

Yearling, 2007

My kids love this book - maybe even as much as I do!
I read with my daughters every night - once or twice a year, we find a book that makes me sneak back into their room late at night to read a few chapters ahead because I just can't wait for the next day. This is one of those books. The sisters are amazing - funny, bright, each very much their own person - from Rosalind - mature beyone her years to little Batty, each character a joy. Dare I say ...

Maui Guide Book
This is a great Maui guide. I had previously used the 1st Edition and will be needing the 4th Edition updates for my upcoming trip. Having traveled to Maui several times--this guide book is right on--from accomadation to dining. I always have this guide book with me when I travel and use as a reference. Very useful for driving around Maui.

Magic Tree House Boxed Set, Books 13-16: Vacation Under the Volcano, Day of the Dragon King, Viking Ships at ...6 reviews
Mary Pope Osborne

Random House Books for Young Readers, 2008

great value, Great books.
Wonderful books for beginning readers. This box set is great value. I bought the first set of these books for my 6 year old nephew. He lives in the UK where these books are not so readily available as they are here. He is enjoying them very much, so my plan is to be a very cool aunt and keep him supplied with them until he has a complete set.

Walter The Farting Dog: Banned From the Beach (Walter the Farting Dog)7 reviews
William Kotzwinkle, Glenn Murray, ...

Dutton Juvenile, 2007

Gassy dog is great for tinies.
This book, one of a series, is absolutely wonderful for four to six- year-olds. They are all at the bodily functions stage of self-interest, and this book is howlingly funny. Also, whilst they are giggling, the stories teach them moral values, ethics and the importance of good behaviour. Our little girl, five years old, never wearies of being read, and reading her Walter books, and of squeezing ...

Golf's Sacred Journey: Seven Days at the Links of Utopia13 reviews
David L. Cook

Sacred Journey Stories, 2006

Best reading in years
I don't give myself much time to sit and read books, even though I am currently reading three books and haven't finished any of them. When I received this one, I honestly couldn't put it down. Golf's Sacred Journey is so much more than a book of golf. It is a motivational book on life. I have taken some of the lessons that are mentioned in the book to my own personal life and has helped me ...

This one took time, boys
Fantastic...and oh so funny. You will be reading and the next second howling over in laughter. But this is the one. Intellectuals only please. This isn't a cologne and breath-mint book. This is the kick in the pants that u needed! I always hear how "i've read so many other books and this one is great...blah, blah." So have I and this is a must get!! I never leave a review, EVER!! But I ...

Stuart J. Hollander

Pleasant City Press, LLC., 2008

Fantastic succession planning book
This book is a great resource for familites who want to try to keep a family second home over multiple generations. Wish we had read this before putting our family property in a trust- after reading it, we will probably be changing to an LLC holding entity instead! Heartily recommend this book, we got 2 copies and are passing it around.

My Weird School Daze #2: Mr. Sunny Is Funny! (My Weird School Daze)4 reviews
Dan Gutman

HarperTrophy, 2008

CLASSIC!!!
Okay. I am not 13 years old, more like Jack Benny's 39. I have a brain tumor and I am very, VERY slow. But this book was GREAT. The book is called "Mr. Sunny Is Funny" and it takes place at the beach near the ocean and there is a shark! This was a CLASSIC! Believe it or not, there were lots about Shakespeare --- even the real stuff! At the last chapter, it says "The Big Surprise End ...

The Hedonist: World Travel Guide59 reviews
Dr. Brett Tate

Professional Bachelor Publishing, LLC, 2005

Best singles travel guide
Highly recommended by a friend. He highlighted the trips he's already taken versus the book and said it was spot on. Most cities are tropical, with great diving and marlin fishing, gorgeous golf courses and beaches. After seeing the pictures of his girlfriends in each town, well, let's just say I dragged him straight to my computer and we booked a flight. I've just got back from Aruba and ...

The Complete Guide to Walt Disney World 2008 (Complete Guide to Walt Disney World)59 reviews
Julie Neal, Mike Neal

Coconut Press, 2007

A unique and helpful book!
I'm a long time Disney World visitor and I've read just about every Disney guide available. In fact I'm the author of a guide called Walt Disney WorldŽ with Disabilities. In my opinion, what makes The Complete Guide to Walt Disney World so unique (in addition to the photos) is the level of detail the authors go into for many of the attractions. They do an excellent job of giving you a sense of ...

Vacation Under the Volcano (Magic Tree House, No. 13)17 reviews
Mary Pope Osborne

Random House Books for Young Readers, 1998

Historically accurate
We paired this with the Discovery Kids Magazine on Pompeii and found out that this book is a great way to find out about Pompeii and what happened, not just as a tourist attraction. It really puts kids in the moment of the time period. Every detail, down to the arrangement of the city was accurate. You can actually find a map replicating Pompeii and show your child where Jack and Annie went. ...

Life: Picture Puzzle Vacation2 reviews
LIFE MAGAZINE EDITORS

Life, 2008

Wonderful fun!
I have all of the picture puzzle books from Life and I think they're the best out there. I even gave a bunch of them to my family and friends this Christmas. I spend a lot of time relaxing with them and I've gotten really good at solving the puzzles. I have to disagree with the first review here. The newest Vacations picture puzzle book from Life is just as much fun as all the others. The ...

A Behind the Scenes Look ...Funny & Surprising!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It is written in a very relaxed and friendly way. The author brings you in to his world and easily shares his tales with you. From beginning to end this book will astonish you with the many details that go in to the cruising industry. You will never be able to look at having a meal on a cruise the same way again. The author does a great job of giving you ...

Very enjoyable book for my son. We read a little each night so that when we go on our trip to Disney, he will know what to expect. Also, there is a ton of pages in the back for Autograph's with a place to put a picture next to it.
