Dying to Live: A Novel of Life Among the Undead55 reviews
Kim Paffenroth

Permuted Press, 2007

A great read, Kim Paffenroth did it again
I'm going to keep this very short, as i do not want to write a synopsis, but rather give my opinion on the book itself. With the many things the characters face in this book and the way they happen it keeps the reader stuck into this book, not wanting to put it down. If you're a diehard zombie fan, this book appeals to you because of the traditional zombie feel, and the helplessness you feel ...

Everyone needs to read this book! If you have any wonders about what to do next in your life, this book helps you see that you have to take a step out in faith to walk on the water! This would be a great graduation gift or just a great pick me up for someone who is "drifting" and not sure where to go next.

Walking with God: Talk to Him. Hear from Him. Really.17 reviews
John Eldredge

Thomas Nelson, 2008

As always, a great book of John Eldredge
I read this great book while still reading "Hearing God" from Dallas Willard, and found these two books great and worth reading together as they are complementary, how to walk with God wthout hearing God talking to us ? Of course, John Eldredge is teaching us how to listen to God, but the book of Dallas Willard (mentioned in the books of J. Eldredge) handles the problem of listening to God in a ...

Plague of the Dead (The Morningstar Strain)57 reviews
Z. A. Recht

Permuted Press, 2006

A Take Off on the Zombie Genre
I am a sucker for the zombie genre in books and movies. There's somethng about a glazed-eyed, shambling pile of rotting flesh trying to eat you that really turns the juices on. "Plague of the Dead" is a fun book even though it does have those fast-moving zombies among its characters. It also has "shamblers." The cause of all this killing and dining is a virus. I think zombie fans will enjoy ...

The Walking Dead Volume 8: Made To Suffer (Walking Dead)
Robert Kirkman, Charlie Adlard, ...

Image Comics, 2008

The series that created the zombie movement reaches its most pivotal, series-altering arc yet! They thought they were safe in the prison. They were wrong. A force far more deadly than the walking dead is at their door and when the dust settles, their rank will be reduced by more than half. No one is safe!

Stop Walking on Eggshells: Taking Your Life Back When Someone You Care about Has Borderline Personality ...149 reviews
Paul T. Mason, Randi Kreger

New Harbinger Publications, 1998

Must Read
For those who share the challenges of life that I do, this book is a MUST READ. Well organized, and written in a sensitive but "hit-home" approach, you'll find this book to be the key to getting back on track. For those who aren't avid readers, like myself, you'll also find this book to be an easy read, bringing so much understanding to light... you'll have a hard time putting it down.

Chi Walking: The Five Mindful Steps for Lifelong Health and Energy19 reviews
Danny Dreyer, Katherine Dreyer

Fireside, 2006

Chi Running/Walking
Both Chi Walking & Chi Running have helped me immensely. I no longer have knee pain when I run and walking has felt almost effortless. The body sensing and relaxation techniques have helped so much even if I feel little twinges since the twinges go away. I highly recommend both books for anyone struggling with walking and running hang-ups.

Dead Witch Walking (Rachel Morgan, Book 1)219 reviews
Kim Harrison

Eos, 2004

1st book of this sort
I usually don't go for the whole dark type of book but my cousin recommended it and actually sent me a copy so I felt I had to read it. It was a little wordy in the very beginning but it quickly turned into one of those books you just can't put down! It's really captivating and keeps you wondering.

A Walk Across America98 reviews
Peter Jenkins

Harper Paperbacks, 2001

Changed his life and mine
I read Jenkins' book 20+ ears ago. I also had the chance to meet him. I can, honestly say that this book changed my life. He made me so curious about places I'd never seen that my native Ohio seemed pretty small. I worked toward an international career and ended up living in Europe for six years and traveling all over Asia. This is a pretty wonderful world with a lot of wonderful people. Thanks ...

Robert B. Parker

Berkley, 1995

The Walking Dead Book 1 (Walking Dead)31 reviews
Robert Kirkman

Image Comics, 2006

Good zombies, good gore, GREAT story!
I'm a fan of almost anything that involves zombies. What I love about this whole series is that it's more about the characters, than just the carnage brought up by the living dead. I had read the first issue at Barnes & Nobles, and was instantly hooked. The problem was, I didn't want to get to involved with the story, and not have access to everything that this story has to offer to date. ...

The Walking Dead Book 3 (Walking Dead)7 reviews
Robert Kirkman

Image Comics, 2008

Kirkman, you-son-of-a-gun!
WOW! I continue to be amazed by how great this series is. I imagined going slow reading this latest HC book 3. A chapter here, a chapter there... usually reserved for the duration of my train rides only (to and from work). After I got off the train and arrived home, I couldn't stay away. I had to finish this story. So, I didn't move from my couch until I was finished. All I can say is, whoever is ...

Get Pedometer Walking....and Walk Away a Winner!
Pedometer Walking: Stepping Your Way to Health, Weight Loss, and Fitness is a great book to get if you want to get into better shape or lose weight by walking. It's also a great read to help you get the most out of your pedometer. Here's what you get. The book has no chapters, but rather centers around a 6-week program. The Walking Dead, Book 2 (Nos. 13-24)12 reviews
Robert Kirkman

Image Comics, 2007

Great series!
This is my new fave series. Can't get enough. If you love romero, things undead, or just character based work, you'll really dig this. I've gotten all 3 hardcovers and now mope about till the new issue hits newsstands. Recommend getting the hc for easy access to all the gooey stuff inbetween. Cover art in the back is a plus. Just go ahead and order it already.

Fugitives and Refugees: A Walk in Portland, Oregon (Crown Journeys)34 reviews
Chuck Palahniuk

Crown, 2003

Interesting, offbeat
This collection is an idiosyncratic and appealing mix of off-the-beaten-path sights for the visitor to Portland, personal anecdotes of the author, and brief essays about the history of Portland and its defining vibes. Entertaining and enjoyable.

YOU: On a Walk18 reviews

Simon & Schuster Audio, 2007

You On A Walk
I use this cd everyday for my 30 minute walk. I hadn't exercised in years and this was easy to start. I moved up quickly to the next level. I enjoy the "cool down" and stretches. I have surprised myself with even running during part of my walk. For someone who didn't want to get out the front door, this has truly become an activity I look forward to everyday.
