Halloween: Customs, Recipes & Spells 68 reviews Silver RavenWolf
Llewellyn Publications, 1999
a delicious dose Have you ever wondered where the idea of Halloween came from? This topic has been one of heated argument and probably will continue to be, unless more people read this complete guide to the holiday and understand what it is all about. Long before the now popular Trick or Treating, Celtic peoples celebrated Samhain, a Summers end festival, and more importantly, the Celtic New Year. Samhain does ...

Llewellyn's 2009 Witches' Datebook 1 review Llewellyn
Llewellyn Publications, 2008
The Best date book out there for Pagans I use this book each year and cannot say enough great things about it. I love the illustrations and the interesting articles are usually about arcane or unusual subjects. Jennifer Dallas Cobb's recipes are to die for, too! I use this book as a journal, too. There is just enough space to note waht you have done, how it works, etc. Llewellyn does it again!

Dies the Fire: A Novel of the Change 176 reviews S.M. Stirling
Roc, 2005
If Only Like all major shifts in environment those that can't adapt die horribly. This strong first novel really sets you cheering the survivors. The second novel is also a worthy read, but the third is full of fluff. Too many pages decribing the pretty flowers. Hang all page number requirements by their entrails!

He Came to Set the Captives Free 222 reviews Rebecca Brown
Whitaker House, 1992
a brutal reality check This book is bone-chilling. I believe every word of it. Scripture says in 1 Peter 5:8: "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walketh about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour". If we could only get a mere passing glimpse of how desperately satan and his fallen angels hate our guts, we would see our surroundings through different eyes. Jesus did not die for the ...

The Spiral Dance: A Rebirth of the Ancient Religion of the Goddess: 20th Anniversary Edition 139 reviews Starhawk
HarperOne, 1999
If you think you want to be a witch, read this book. The Spiral Dance is the first book I would recommend for anyone who wants to work with women in ritual space with earth centered spirituality. Her Starhawk's writing is clear, specific and practical. She has revised her classic feminist work to include working with men and children in sacred space.
The Spiral Dance is a must-read for pagans, witches, or other folks who want to know how to ...

This is a "For Dummies" guide to shamanic practice.

Combining Western and sometimes Eastern thought, Silver has come up with a new style of Hedge Witchery that can be a powerful tool that can help take your magicial ability and understanding ...
