Using SPSS for Windows and Macintosh: Analyzing and Understanding Data (5th Edition) 7 reviews Samuel B. Green, Neil J. Salkind
Prentice Hall, 2007
Very Useful / Practical - Not Intended to be a Theory Book As an ABD graduate student, I have found this book to be very useful to me. It is the best book I have seen for just taking you through the procedures of using SPSS. Most stats books are only theory leaving you to your lab mates to learn how to actually do anything, but this book for the most part solved that problem for me. Very parcemonous and down to earth.

Windows Server 2008 Unleashed 4 reviews Rand Morimoto, Michael Noel, ...
Sams, 2008
Incredible Resource!!! I went to the Windows 2008 launch event and got excited about migrating our company to Windows 2008, but wanted to get a third party book to help me better understand the REAL features, functions, and experiences of the product (rather than Microsoft's rendition of it). I jumped on Amazon and searched for a book, and this Windows 2008 Unleashed book was already rated with a couple 5-stars, so I ...

Microsoft Windows Internals (4th Edition): Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, and Windows 2000 30 reviews Mark E. Russinovich, David A. Solomon
Microsoft Press, 2005
Excellent technical reference I highly recommend this book to anyone who needs a very detailed analysis of Windows XP/2000/2003. It's so good, I've already ordered Windows® Internals: Including Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista, Fifth Edition (PRO-Developer).
I found the content to be rich and detailed. It tells how the Microsoft operating system functions on different levels and goes into detail on how to use specific ...

Windows Server 2008 Inside Out 5 reviews William R. Stanek
Microsoft Press, 2008
Truly Fantastic! Stanek's Windows Server 2008 Inside Out is the definitive resource for network administrators who are deploying and using Windows Server 2008. I've never found a single server book that tells you everything you will ever need to know about any edition of Windows Server, but this one comes close and it digs in much deeper into the most relevant topics than any other Windows Server 2008 book I've ...

Window On The World (pb) 8 reviews Spragget and Johnstone
Authentic, 2007
NOT a new edition!! Though it says 2007, it's not a revised edition but has exactly the same information as the hardcover version I bought in 2002; no updates on major world events/changes, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. An excellent spiritual resource, as well as useful in teaching geography and cultures.

Advanced Windows Debugging (Addison-Wesley Microsoft Technology Series) 15 reviews Mario Hewardt, Daniel Pravat
Addison-Wesley Professional, 2007
This is the book This book has completely smashed every possible expectation I had when I set out to read it.
Let me put it simply. There comes a time in every software developers' life when he contemplates the age old question of, "If I were to be stranded on an island and I could bring only 3 things with me, what would they be?" Well, this would be one of the 3 items. (The other two would be Windows ...

Wonderfully informative Beginning Level book, well written and entertaining. I received this book as a gift from my best friend (who's husband is a rep for Chateau Ste Michelle). Although I rarely drink, and do not know a great deal about wine, I do seem to have a sharp palette, especially for French Burgandy (I reached this conclusion thanks to my dear, knowledgable and generous friends) ... which is really quite fortunate since my family currently lives a stone's ...
