Wonderfully, Fearfully Made: Letters on Living With Hope, Teaching Understanding, And Ministering With Love, ...3 reviews
Robert L. Arpin

Harpercollins, 1993

Taking A Deep Breath
I had bought this book about six months ago, and it had sat on my shelf until about three days ago I pulled it down and began to read it. It couldnt of came at a more needed time in my life. But anyways, this book is really moving. It teaches us to take a wider more open-minded look at the people around us. I've heard the saying ''taking one day at a time", but Father Robert Arpin really ...

In the Likeness of God: The Dr. Paul Brand Tribute Edition of Fearfully and Wonderfully Made and In His Image6 reviews
Philip Yancey, Paul Brand

Zondervan, 2004

KRD
I borrowed these books (in their separate form) years ago and enjoyed them very much. I now want to buy this, so that I may read them again. I am an RN, so the details of anatomy and physiology (though not heavy with medical jargon) were facinating to me. God has revealed Himself in all creation; perhaps the human body is the most amazing example. Reading these has given me a richer, deeper ...

Fearfully and Wonderfully Made: A Surgeon Looks At the Human and Spiritual Body1 review

Grason Company, 1980

A truly wonderful book
I had originally purchased this book through a book club when it was first published. I read it then and was just awed by the profound writing within. As the title says, we are fearfully and wonderfully made, in the image of God. Unfortunately, I loaned my copy to someone and it never made it back home. I am planning on purchasing another copy for my personal library.

The Human Body: Fearfully And Wonderfully Made1 review
Jay L. Wile, Marilyn M. Shannon

Apologia Educational Ministries Inc, 2001

Apologia- The Human Body
This is an excellent book for high school students. I completed The Human Body during my senior year and absolutely loved the course. Now I am headed into Nursing with a strong background in Human Biology! The book presents the text in somewhat a conversational style, but still provides all the necessary information.

Temerosa Y Maravillosamente Diseņado (Fearfully and Wonderfully Made)12 reviews
Philip Yancey

Vida, 2005

The World of Medicine Through Spiritual Eyes
Note: This review refers to an additional book, "In His Image" by the same author that I consider a "companion" to this one. In both these books the authors take us into the world of medicine as seen through spiritual eyes. The parallels between our own bodies and the Body of Christ are fascinating to say the least. Read, for example, how when one area of our physical body is injured an urgent ...

Millie-Christine : Fearfully And Wonderfully Made5 reviews
JOANNE MARTEL

John F. Blair Publisher, 1999

A truly fascinating biography of Siamese twins.
Millie-Christine deserves ongoing recommendation, providing the remarkable story of Siamese twins who were born into slavery in 1851 and who moved from slavery to the courts of Europe during their lives. Twice sold and kidnapped as a child, Millie-Christine traveled throughout Europe and earned a fortune.

Fearfully and Wonderfully Made: A Christian Health and Puberty Guide for Preteen Boys and Girls1 review
Lori Stubbs

Leathers Publishing, 2003

Some concerns
I am not Christian but was having difficulty finding a book on puberty for my 10 year old son that advocated abstinence and did not say that homosexuality is acceptable. Although I was concerned about the word "Fearfully" in the title, as I did not want fear associated with puberty, I purchased the book anyway. Warning-the drawings in the book are quite detailed. Most of the book was fine. I ...
