In terms of being a rangefinder, it does its job. Accurate enough for what it is and marginally good for the amount you pay for it. You hold it sideways (the focus switch facing your left eye) and it has 50-200 yards on the left and 50-200 meters to your right.

Highly Effective Telescope: Very Durable
This telescope is my first one, so to speak, so I cannot guarrentee its quality over others. Howver, this telescope is a very durable one. For example, in 2004 when Mars was the closet to us (closer than it would be in 2000 years), I accidentally knocked this telescope 50 feet to the bottom. Way too many flaws for me to mention, too small, cheap mount, frustrating to use. It turns one off to astronomy rather than exite the observer.
Avoid at all costs! Get at least a 90 mm objective lens with an equatorial mount with slow motion controls. You will pay 300 bucks for a good starter scope. The rest are junk and will take up space in your closet.
