This vibrant little camera really does the job! Beautiful, clear photos and excellent resolution. Very easy to use and how can you not love the dazzling Wasabi Green color? I own 2 high-end professional cameras, but keep this one in my purse for impromptu photos & videos of my kids when we are out & about and it is perfect for the job!

Great camera at an affordable price
The Fuji S700 is an easy-to-use camera, affordable and the pictures are fantastic!
I looked at the Fuji S1000, it is a 10mp where the S700 is a 7mp and there is no comparison. The S1000 has a lag with the shutter speed and it does not have an extended viewfinder.
Having a choice of a viewfinder or a screen was important to me and since I would rather use the viewfinder, the batteries last ...

Battery is not $50
Nice point and shoot camera. Price is good. A great starter camera or use as a spare. I have had problems with cameras in this price range with premature death under 2 years - Pentax, Samsung. I don't expect this one to last long either. My $600 + digital cameras have preformed without premature death, but they are bigger to carry - this one is so convenient. It's a Do-it-all Wondercamera
At least as far as I'm concerned. This is my 4th full size digital camera and, the best, by FAR, even over my Fuji S9000.
The image stabilization, dynamic range expansion, equivalent zoom range of 28-800mm (including digital) and high resolution are giving me the best pictures I have ever taken.
My favorite settings:
aperture priority or manual (right next to each other on the knob)

Execellent quality....
Great bang for the buck. I just got back from using these in Maui. All the snorkeling photos were wonderful. We took these to the beach so we didn't ruin our digital cameras. In and out of the water, the photos were crisp, and clear. What else can you ask for?
