Subtle, Majestic, Sweeping, Introspective
This is a fabulous CD. The Adagio movement of the Concerto for Clarinet in A is breathtakingly beautiful and is my favorite piece of orchestral music. The entire CD is a worthwhile listen -- a great score and wonderfully rendered by Emma Johnson, Raymond Leppard (conductor), and the English Chamber Orchestra. Perfect music either for thinking or relaxing.

This is a superb musical performance and recording of Haydn's The Creation. The soloists are excellent, as are the chorus and (very large) orchestra of period instruments. It is sung in English. She's not Myers but she's good
This album is delightful. Because Myers is superior to Johnson, I ordered his album with the Saint-Saens Sonata for Clarinette and piano. Unfortunately the rest of the album was not nearly as good as the Emma Johnson one. This album is delightful and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Beautiful, rich sound, excellent CD
Emma Johnson produces a very rich and clear tone on the clarinet in these pieces. The works themselves are very good, and there are a couple of vocal pieces added towards the end. This is a CD full of music that is played wonderfully and should please anyone interested in the clarinet and in classical music in general.
