Relaxing Classical Music
I was not really a classical music fan but I am now. I purchased this cd for my 14 year old grand-daughter, not knowing we would both enjoy the music so much. She has always enjoyed classical music along with all of the other teen music, rap, rock, country, etc. Also, it really helped being able to listen to parts of the music before purchasing.

This will make a classical listener out of a hillbillie
I sort of think of myself as a Viginia Hillbillie... educated however. I am not into classical music either. There is, however, something about Pachelbel's Canon that does something miraculous to my mind. The music is beautiful... very very beautiful. Let's not be too harsh regarding this CD. I purchased this as my first baby step into the classical genre and it absolutely made me fall in love with classical music and appreciate it in a way I never could when people tried to make me like it. This is pleasing, pastoral music picked to relieve that which tenses up our bodies and souls. I am sorry for the previous review who said that intelligence is hereditary. If that is true, all mankind would have been doomed from the start. Intelligence is not hereditary, but rather a result of stimulation during infancy and birth. fabulous ~~not enough stars!!
This is probably the best CD we have purchased in ages. There is a variety of artists, each incredibly beautiful. Almost every evening this summer we sit out on the screened-in porch with a glass of wine and unwind from a busy work day listening to this CD. It is better than going into town to a live concert!!! I had ordered this cd on the recommendation of the musical director from my Church who has quite an extensive international background. I mistakenly thought I would just use it to pick out songs for the ceremony portion of my wedding. It turns out it has so many classical songs from Bach and many other artists. When they say Ultimate, they mean it!
This album really is great. As of writing the review I haven't gotten married yet, but I am definetly using it in my June wedding. It has all of the classics that we always associate with weddings and only weddings ("Bridal Chorus" for the bridal processional, "Wedding March" for a recessional, etc.) PLUS plenty of other music for the wedding party processional, unity candle lighting, prelude ...
