A discovery of sound and genre
I do not know why I bought this recording. Listening to it is a worthwhile experience. The quartets for 3 cellos and bass have a sonority that moved me. The depth of sound of this combination achieved in this recoerding is fantastic. The two quartets in which two of the cellos are substituted by viols are also something else. Really good for its price
i bought this collection for 5 bucks at K-mart and i was impressed at how complete it was. Sure, you dont get all of his material, but you get some of the best, and as far as i know, their complete and not shorter versions of the pieces. If theres one flaw its that the sound quality is not as good as higher priced vivaldi cd's, but still, considiring these are 2 cds at 5 bucks, its a good ...
