Costner's Best - A Must See
And that's saying something, considering how much I love Field of Dreams. This is a terrific movie that Kevin Costner absolutely shines in. Cast against type, he gives a mesmorizing performance as escaped con Butch Haynes. They only quibble I have is toward the ending with the unsettling scene with the black family. I understand that Butch has issues with child abuse but the scene goes on way ...

Bottle Shock
Bottle Shock I just saw this movie while crossing the Atlantic Ocean. It is a must see for all wine lovers. Especially the wine-o's whom have heard about the 1976 Paris wine tasting that put Napa valley on the map. It is well produced and the story line is fantastic. I will cretainly purchase the DVD and put it right next to my copy of "Sideways", another exceptional wine-lovers movie.

He loves it!
My 2 year old grandson just loves Mickey and this DVD was perfect for a Pre-Christmas gift! He's been enjoying it for weeks now, and can't wait for the "HO,HO,HO" to visit on the 25th! I recommend it highly for toddlers. ........ MieMie of Florida

Libeled Lady36 reviews
Jean Harlow, William Powell

Warner Home Video, 2005

Outrageously Funny!
This is another great screwball comedy (1936) set during the great depression, casting some of the best performers of that time. Having nominated by the Academy in the best picture category, the movie is riveting and you will be glued from beginning to end due to the offbeat nature of the comedy. The story is a pure farce comedy, when the daughter of an aristocratic family Connie Allenbury (Myrna ...

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse - Mickey's Great Clubhouse Hunt38 reviews

Walt Disney Video, 2007

Miska, Mooska, Mickey Mouse!!
My one and two year old's can NOT get enough of this. I decided to order the dvd after renting it a month ago, when my daughter absolutely fell in love with Mickey. She kept pointing to herself and saying "Me Mickey" or "Miska, Mooska, Mickey Mouse!"....a toddler's version of that, anyway. So when the package arrived and I pulled it out she almost cried with excitment. Truly. We watch it ...

NICE JOB ON AN OLD FAVORITE! ONE OF HARRYHAUSEN'S B&W CLASSICS IN COLOR!
In the late 60's, I remember Saturday mornings, sitting in my PJ's, eating a bowl of cereal and watching this film(and many like it)on my living room floor! My family didn't have a color set until 1971, so I thought every movie was in B&W. I actually love B&W as it seems to add something to my favotite old horror films like Frankenstein and The Wolfman. On the other hand, Ray Harryhausen's work ...

WB Television Network, The, 2007

Not as iconic as the original -- just a whole lot better
Imagine you were a career biologist in your 30s or 40s. A general interest magazine asks you to rewrite a long bio report you cranked out in the middle of seventh grade on a typewriter while doing stuff for your other six or seven classes. How much will you be able to improve on the original report now that you're wittier; know more about the subject and have a good gauge of what the general ...

Hellraiser VI - Hellseeker108 reviews

HELLRAISER PART 6
This movie was good, just not as good as Part 1&2. This series was at it's best back when Clive Barker was making the movies. It seems that every movie you see less & less of Pinhead. I would say it has a good storyline, but not as good as Clive Barker's original creation in Part 1 & 2!! I rate this DVD a 7 from 1to10!!

A Great Start for Youngsters, A Large Sandbox for Fans
If you go into this new addition to the Star Wars universe with an open mind and a decent sense of the target demographic this movie was created for, you will undoubtedly have a great experience. I purchased this mainly for my 3 1/2 year old who absolutely loves all things Star Wars (much like his father!) and my expectations were that it was going to be a fun movie that doesn't take itself ...

Soylent Green6 reviews
John Barclay, Whit Bissell

Warner Home Video, 2007

More compelling than "An Inconvenient Truth"
Also science fiction, but made in 1972 and without any political waffle (and starring an actor many would pin as "Conservative"), this movie projects - some 50 years into its future - a frightening set of events: * overpopulation * polluted atmosphere * global warming causing high temperatures * unusual food sources * cynicism Charleton Heston plays Thorn, a duty-driven cop/detective, ...

Pumpkinhead 4 - Blood Feud10 reviews
Amy Manson, Bradley Taylor

Sony Pictures, 2007

Pumpkin Soup
Despite its failings, I enjoyed this disc. As soon as I heard about it, I put it on my must have list, and basically bought it because of Lance Henrikson's name. The sub-title, Blood Feud, out me in mind of the Sequel, which is a bit of a dog to watch, but still has some good creature FX. And the FX in this seem to be mostly practical, however so much CGI is seamless, there could be lots, but on ...

GREAT!!! GREAT!!! GREAT!!!
This is a great movie. I absalutly LOVE Scooby-Doo. The best episode on this DVD is Rholler Ghoster Ride. But I'ts Green I'ts Mean It's the Mystery Machine is cool cos it unlocks the secret of the Mystery Machine's past. I say buy it and ENJOY!!

Clive Barker's Salome & The Forbidden13 reviews
Graham Bickley, Julia Blake

Image Entertainment, 1998

Homebrewer
This is a rare example of Barker's early work, featuring a young Doug Bradley (Pinhead from the Hellraiser series) as a surreal incarnation of a celluloid nutter and electroconvulsive therapy boy next door. These two short films 'Salome' & 'The Forbidden' were restored under Barker's supervision and are accompanied by filmed interviews with Barker, Bradley and other key players. First we have ...

great stuff
i initially got this because i was interested in matt dallas' earlier work, but i ended up totally impressed by the movie as well. it's roots are in 80s slashers, with a bit of a modern twist that makes it vaguely hilarious in a good way. it's really well done, even with a slightly odd twist ending. one of my favorites : )

Hellraiser - Inferno145 reviews

Incomplete As Always
Hellraiser Inferno has gotten a lot of bad wrap over the years. From the way I see it, fans ether lover it or hate it with no middle ground. Like many of the Hellraiser sequels Inferno is not what it was planed to be. Being the Hellraiser collector that I am, I recently bought a UK import version of Inferno. After viewing the DVD, I was surprised at how different the import version was from the ...

Explore the fun
We saw this in the 80's when it 1st came out. Now, it's just as entertaining. A different slant on alien contact, after all if they do exist, they must have teenagers, too. And it appears an older gent also had been contacted sometime in the past. Very good when they begin to get the picture this is an invitation and actually build their travel craft. Highly recommend this. Fun for all ...
