The Second To Last Film In The View Askew Series
JASBSB is a great film. Not just because it's laugh out loud funny but because Kevin Smith has made Jay and Bob still fresh after seven years. The duo is in their best film yet and their's all the usual trade marks. A very great end to a leagcy.

Great movie!
All I can really say is that this was a great film. The acting is very good, the quality is good, and Claudette Colbert is superb. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes her acting, or is interested in WWII movies.

This Is One You'll Remember
Some movies stick in your memory, regardless of your critique of dialog, editing, etc. For me, this is one of those films. Maybe it's the idea of a man blinded after a life of sight, who triumphs over himself and the rest of the world. It an "inside" movie, with lots of "outside" action -- a certain kind of person will be very affected by it -- and most others will enjoy it anyway!

Robotech - The Shadow Chronicles Movie
This was a great start to the end of the Robotech Macross Saga DVDs. It's an excellent movie, with great action. It follows in the tradition of the Robotech series. It leaves many questions unanswered and leaves you waiting for the series to continue. However, the series has never been finished. In spite of this, I highly recommend this movie to all Robotech fans.

Beautiful
This is one of my favorite love stories. I didn't even mind the ending :) I fell in love with Tristan and Isolde from the beginning. For those of us who wonder if true love is real...this movie gives you hope. It didn't feel like a fairy tale to me. This story felt real to me and I appreciate that.

American Hardcore - The Special Features Make This Product
American Hardcore is not a definitive history of hardcore music or punk rock. It's a documentary about a connected group of hardcore music scenes in cities across the USA. The documentary isn't only about the music but more about the culture of hardcore and the world inside and outside of the scene. While there are some shortcomings to American Hardcore, all of them fade away once you start ...

Saturday Night and Sunday Morning
Another top quality, British "kitchen-sink" drama from the 1960s, Reisz's film launched Finney to prominence after a promising debut in Tony Richardson's "The Entertainer." Drowning five days of stagnation in one night's revelry--or is it oblivion?--Arthur is the quintessential "angry young man," as he is going nowhere and won't let himself care, either about short-term inconveniences or ...

An interesting take...
The Fantasticks is a delightful show, full of metaphor. If you don't like metaphor, don't bother. If you do, this is a must for your collection. The two fathers make the show for me, so bumbling, but so in love with their children they'd do whatever it takes to make it work. Joel Gray is superb. And at this point in my life, "Try to Remember" always brings a tear...

Storyteller collection
This was a gift for my son's 23rd birthday. His amazed delight upon opening this was, for me, just the best. "Where did you FIND it?!" Jim Henson's Storyteller was possibly his favorite TV show as a small child. Listening to him excitedly describe it to his fiancee made me feel pretty good. This may have been his favorite birthday gift.

As good as it gets
These episodes are as close to the book as is possible, unlike the movie made in 2005. Being a latecomer to the Hitchhiker world, I wasn't sure what to expect from these 1981 renditions, but I was totally blown away by the "pureness" of the script and the graphics that they were able to make for the time. It's very well acted too, and the guy who played Arthur in the radio series also plays him ...

Forty Year old Water never tasted so sweet
What can you say to a forty year old comedy that seem as funny today as it did then. Don't Drink the Water is still a gem of a film. Water's screenplay was written by Woody Allen. It has all the trapping the Allen himself would use in his future screenplays which he would direct. The film is character driven and not action driven, something Allen did in the films in the beginning of his career. ...

If you love Mark...
If you love Mark Harmon you really need to watch this. If Tom Capano was anything like Mark I would have fallen for his lies too. This is a heartbreaking true story of a young woman who falls for the wrong man, and unfortunately in this case the cost was her life. Mark is marvelous as usual the perfect mix of charm and terror. If you are prone to tears this may be a tough watch but I think ...

I love a good monster movie, and SHE CREATURE is fantastic! It's not just a showcase for Stan Winston's (Alien, Terminator, Jurassic Park, Pumpkinhead) creature effects, as wondrous as they are. There's a really good, effective story to hold it all together. In short, a carnival sideshow front-man named Angus (Rufus Sewell from Dark City) and his star / girlfriend, Lilly (The ever gorgeous Carla ...

Twin Falls Idaho
From the restrained colors, music, pacing, acting - every element of this movie was perfectly thought out and perfectly connected. Including the Polish Brothers in their role as conjoined twins. They allow a peek inside what it is like to be a twin in the first place - but taking it to the most extreme example of two twin brothers that love and hate one another. And live with the knowlege that ...

Excellent!
All four of the myths here are cleverly presented. Like all Greek myths the stories touch on dark and adult themes but the Storyteller's "dog" helps break the tension by speaking the comments we are likely making in our own minds and by providing a bit of comic relief. As others have said this is sad, scary, adult stuff and is not for kids under fourth grade or so but would be a great film to ...

No moldy old mummy in this atmospheric thriller!
In this 1971 Hammer Films entry, we get the "reincarnation of the Egyptian Princess theme," but with a certain caveat -- there's no "bandaged-wrapped mummy" to avenge her or to drag her off at the end of the movie! Directed by Seth Holt, this is a fine horror flick with all the great set and location ambiance that we've come to expect from the British-based Hammer Film Company. It's shot in ...

Great Retelling of the Classic Ballet
Mark Morris' verison of Tchaikovsky's ballet is a treat that shouldn't be missed. Updated to the 1960's and staged in what can only be discribed as a giant comic book like setting, it brings a new freshness and twist to the classic story. From the machanical Barbi Doll and Robot gifts that are brought by Drosselmeyer, to the G.I. Joes fighting the mice, to the Yule log on the TV screen its a ...
