Rambo
completed my collection nicely, The movie was different more graphic. I do know why Sly visited the troops in Iraq and saw the realism and said that the young people who watched his movies should get a more realistic look at war not just the glorified version of it I comend him for it.

Best Rocky Movie of the Last Decade
Excellent movie if you go into it with zero expectations. It should really be terrible, but it's mostly entertaining.

Better than I expected
When I heard they were releasing these on Blu-Ray I wasn't exactly thrilled to be buying them again. I had bought First Blood on Blu-Ray when it first came out after I had rented it at a Blockbuster and was so impressed by the picture I had to buy it. I had seen First Blood in so many different versions including most of the standard DVD releases that I didn't think it possbile to look as good as ...

best of the best!
there isn't much i can say that hasn't been said about the rocky series, It's one of the best movies ever made and very inspirational too. The music is fantastic and the whole story line keeps you interested from part 1 to part 6. I have watched these movies as a child and i will continue to watch them as an adult. this is one of those movies that I think we all can enjoy.

There was a comic?!
In all honest I had NO idea there was a comic book of this when Judge Dredd came out. I was only 10 years old when the movie came out and I still remember it to the day that this movie was just hands down fantastic. To me, this movie was like The Fifth Element of its time and I feel as though the aesthetics to The Fifth Element should pay a huge amount of homage to Judge Dredd (as well as ...

Unexpected delight!
The first time I saw this film, I did so because there was nothing else on the boob tube. It quickly became one of my top 5 favorite films of all time. This script is so wonderfully fresh, and Stallone really shows his comic genius with his delivery. Sandra Bullock was teriffic in this role, and although I've seen this film at least 50 times, it still makes me laugh and marvel at the clever ...

best kids action movie ever!
This has got to be the best kids action movie ever! I rented this movie for a week and watched it 5 times and loved it. Believe me when you see this you are going to want to buy this like me! I have seen every one except spy kids 2 {Island of Lost Dreams}. The basic outline of Spy Kids Game Over is Carmon Cortez {Alexa Vega} gets stuck in a virtual reality game trying to turn it off {to find ...

Over the Top71 reviews

Warner Home Video, 2005

Step aside, Citizen Kane. There is a new NO.1!!!!
Normally I'm not one for hyperbole, but I have few qualms stating that Over the Top is among the greatest arm-wrestling movies of the last half-century. Jam-packed with emotion, adrenaline, and the kind of edge-of-your-seat action that only two stationary, grunting men can provide, it's easy to see why many call it the "'Gone With the Wind' of wrist-endurance sport movies". Like every ...

"We're not hunting him...He's hunting us."
(Review by T. Buchanan- Film Freak) In 1982, Stallone had two huge hits come out in the same year: Rocky III and First Blood. At the time, nobody remembered the 1972 book about a Vietnam Vet named John J. Rambo. After this film was released, however, everybody in the world would know all about Rambo. It would also create the string of sequels that continue until today. Unlike Rocky, Rambo is a ...

King Cobra
A friend of mine once stated that Cobra was "one of the greatest works of art ever committed to celluloid". He's dead now, so I feel okay saying that his comment was patently absurd. Cobra is, in fact, the greatest achievement in human history. More to the point, watching Cobra is like peering into the mind of God. Following all the movie's plot twists and turns is certainly a test of ...

The Most Accurate Documentary Ever Made!
This is definitely one for the ages! This is exactly what the Vietnam War was like. Our soldiers were fantastically superior killing machines that racked up huge bodycounts, and the exploding arrows really came in handy. There were plenty of times that one single man would walk into an enemy base carrying an M-60 and would wipe out an entire battalion. If only those dirty libs hadn't ended ...
