One of the Greatest Modern Westerns
An absolutely perfect western, I have tried to find something I dislike about this movie and I've come up with nothing. Christian Bale and Russell Crowe are outstanding in this powerful reinvention of an already good film and story. Bale plays Dan Evans, a down-on-his-luck rancher and Civil War veteran looking for a way to prove himself to his family and earn enough money to buy his land in order ...

Sean who?
I'll admit it: I used to think that Sean Connery was the only actor worthy of the role, so I was dubious going in. Approximately nine frames into Daniel Craig's performance, I suddenly forgot that any other human had ever attempted the role. Here is a James Bond that we can be AFRAID of. His bond is feral; a predator on the hunt. He's human, yet more than that. He's the first person to ...

Gorgeous, Fantastic, Spectacular and Stunning
Produced by the same people who brought us the amazing Planet Earth, we're given the no less amazing Blue Planet. Where Planet Earth gave us the world, Blue Planet focuses entirely on the oceans and all the life that depend on it. What we're given here is a true masterpiece in photography and cinematography that'll blow away your senses and amaze you. No one has ever captured ocean life like ...

Oh my God
It easy to understand why it took several years for this series to be filmed. On an HD 52" Flat sreen the visuals were abosolutely stunning. I also suggest whoever purchases this product should also consider the Planet Earth disc set. I just couldn'y get over the photography, as well as the in depth knowledge I gained from this series. I highly recommend it.

Could Have Been So Much Better
First off, I did enjoy the movie. It wasn't fantastic by any stretch of the imagination, but it kept my attention. The special effects were well done (loved the sabretooth cat) and the costumes and score reflected the tone of the film. However, as many other reviewers have noted, the movie was almost plodding until the last 20 minutes and relied too heavily upon several convenient prophecies ...

Worth buying
I buy discs rarely. I usually just rent from Netflix, which is where I managed to find this gem. I liked John Mayer's music before, I appreciate the man's talent even more after watching this live performance. If you like his album Continuum or the bluesy John Mayer Trio, you should definitely check this out. His voice and skills with the guitar shine in this performance. On Blu-Ray the ...

Mayer Rides Again
I've been lucky enough to see Mayer in concert. Add to that a couple appearances on Austin City Limits and two at Eric Clapton's Crossroads Festivals. For a little variety, throw in an appearance with Brad Paisley on CMT's Crossroads. Mayer never disappoints and never ceases to surprise. It would be easy to dismiss him as a purveyor of commercial accoustic romantic ballads if the only ...

Went out of my way to rate and review this...
This DVD absolutely rocks! I don't know what people are saying when they talk about the sound isn't up to par. Z.Z. Top is, at it's best, the best 3 piece blues band ever. As such, sonically, you are going to hear some "holes" in the sound now and then. I've played bass in 3 piece bands, it's very difficult to pull off and fill the entire audio spectrum. Z. Z. Top does it better than ...

Crossroads
Do not let the mixed reviews about this film deceive you. I would say however, it's wider appeal will be for blues fans and those who are interestd in Robert Johnson in particular. Some parts of the movie are based on either facts or legends of Robert Johnson, mostly on the legend of Johnson selling his soul to the spirit Legba at the crossroads in return for the ability of being the best blues ...

Frieza Remastered!
I'll quickly dispel any of the doubts you may have reading other reviews. No, the cropping isn't that noticeable on this set, its about the same as the 2nd season which is not much (read that review of mine). The colors of Namek and the sky are wonderful in their remastered version, just as good as Earth's (don't know why people complain about that). The Super saiyan fight is on! A great ...

"It's Him, The Eye ~ Here At The End Of All Things"
With the '03 release of `The Return of the King', the third and final film in the `Lord of the Rings' trilogy one can only seat back and marvel at the remarkable feat accomplished by Peter Jackson and crew. When one wants to speak of something that is truly of epic proportions this is now and will be for quite sometime the benchmark by which all other attempts will be measured. There simply isn't ...

Great cast at their best
What a treat to see the finest comedic talent that we will ever see together in a hilarious production. Each of these legendary performers are marvelous and none of them overact. There is no competition between them, but a wonderful blending of talent that is from the better days of entertainment.

Did I miss something?
The first thing I thought when I saw the box for this dvd was, Who the heck is Garlic Jr? I have read all the manga books and I never saw him once. So far this series had given us much filler, scenes that were slighlty longer than need to be but this is an entire saga of filler. Not only that but it creates some weird backstory about how Gohan and Goku defeated Garlic Jr. and sealed him in the ...

This movie has been on my Movies to watch list way to long, and I regret that it took so long for me to finnally watch this film. 5 stars no doubt. Great parody, great show!
This show is one of the best parodies of the Star Wars universe I have seen so far. The animation is great...like back in the mid-80's with GI JOE and TRANSFORMERS. I even like it better than the new Clone Wars clips available so far. The characters are funny and seem to be well suited for these roles in particular Stewie(playing Darth Vader). This parody puts a fresh spin on this science fiction ...

The counterculture's finest moment
Something happened in the '60s, and we're still feeling the effects of it now. Even as I type these words, my neighbors on the other side of the apartment wall are playing rock music REALLY LOUD -- I even like what they're playing, though I'm not sure what band's album it is. For better or worse, rock music and its attendant baggage have had an enormous effect on our culture: I would even go so ...
