This DVD series has phonomenal footage! It's a great way to learn about our wonderful earth. It also makes you realize that we need to take care of our planet so that we will be able to enjoy these miraculous creations for many years to come. The team of filmmakers did an awesome job of capturing life and wonders of our world that we would never be able to see on our own.

Should be cheaper than the individual sets
Why buy the boxed set when you can buy the four series individually for *exactly* the same price? Seriously guys, zero discount for buying all four?
The only reason to buy this is if you truly wanted all four series and didn't already own any of them. Otherwise, you're way better off saving some money by only purchasing the ones you actually care about.

Love The Planets
This is a really cute way of introducing toddlers to planets and solar system; my son loves this DVD. Songs are very catchy and David already knows all his planets not even 3 yet. of course I had to learn all of them with him, but it was fun to interact with him as well.If your kids has any interest to space, he will be captured with this flick.

I Truly Feel Privileged
The Privileged Planet is understandable and makes a clear point. It contains pictures of the planets that I've never seen before. I used to think that the planets and space were just "there". Now it all seems personal and intimate. I was so blown away by this DVD that I purchased several as gifts.

Still looks great!
I was surprised and happy! to see this has been made available to purchase as a DVD. I saw this when it was originally playing in theaters and I never forgot it. And I'm happy to report it still looks great. In fact, everything about this movie has stood the test of time. And that Includes the Floyd-ish soundtrack, which I purchased here as well.

What would £8000 buy you today in the film industry ? Not much I would imagine, on a big budget film that's probably a days or weeks catering bill for cast and crew.
