The main reason I bought this product was for the DVR/VCR Timer. This feature allows you to program your favorite shows, and the box will automatically change channels to that show. You can then use your DVR or VCR to capture the video off the box.

Impressive and EASY
In our home we have 2 tvs not hooked up to Directv. I bought this product and was AMAZED. The hook up was so easy... 5 minutes at the most. The reception is amazing. Before on those tv we were lucky to get 2 fuzzy channels. Now we get 16 channels crystal clear.
I was so impressed I bought another one and then bought two more for my in-laws. All 4 converters work excellent.

great purchase! better than expected
The only reason I ordered this was because of the upcoming tv conversion to digital. I had no idea that having a converter box would make such a huge difference!! I get 3-4 times more channels than I received before and they are as clear as cable tv. Especially with the government $40 discount, this box is such a great deal and I would recommend it to everyone who uses rabbit ears.

This works fine with my Powerbook G4, 1.33GHz, 17", running 10.4.10.
One note - the one I received doesn't look much like the one in the picture. Its black, and more angular, with silver metal on both ends of the screws.

Very nice picture.
I keep lots of video files on my computer hard drive, and I watch them off a 40" 780p LCD HDTV. My ATI video card has a DVI output and my TV has a VGA input. I used to use an S-video cable, but the picture was mediocre. I now use this cable, and the difference is dramatic. Colors look closer to the way they look on my regular monitor, and text is actually possible to read.
