Don't waste your money on the 83+
There is a racket where in high school they get you to buy the 83 then in college the 86 then later in college the 89. Just buy the 89 titanium when you are in high school. Its a great calculator that has all sorts of functions. It does derivatives, integrals, has study cards if you need any "help". If you are doing math, science or engineering this is the way to go.

excellent product decent price no needed cover
The calculator is used by my 13 year old son and we purchased it at a fair price from amazon. it works well but should have come with a cover. i had to go to target and buy one. Some companies are just getting so cheap that they are just dumb.

My professor has the same one, the Texas Instruments TI-30X IIS 2-Line Scientific Calculator is a great calculator and very easy to use. Oh and the price is great! Other calculators go up to $80 or $90, but the Texas Instruments TI-30X IIS 2-Line Scientific Calculator is a steal almost. I highly recomend this calculator for any math student in high school or college.
