This product performed well out of the box. It's best to plug into your laptop before you turn it on. This will enable you to utilize your volume controls for your laptop. I tried plugging it in after my laptop was already turned on and this prevented me from using my volume controls. Rebooted...no problem. You get great sound from a small package.

We purchased this phone along with the base set and have ahd no issues whatsoever with it. We run a small non-profit office and have three phones with two incoming lines. Great DVD burner
This DVD burner is awesome! I recommend it to everyone, sure it doesnt have light scribe but who needs it anyway. Its also SATA so its easy to install, I popped it in and it worked without any problems. The only problems is is that it runs kinda hot some times but its not a big deal.

Excellent phone from my side. However I have asked a few callers about the clarity while I was talking on the speaker phone. Most advised that I sounded like I was talking in a barrel. I tried it with just the front mic and with the rear mic engaged. Neither got perfect grades from my callers, and neither was as perfect as the AT&T Speaker Phone I use in the office.

As for the tapes, they are recommended for my HDR-FX1 and I've used nothing else. Expensive, but they're my masters and worth spending on to avoid premature aging or sticking. They work well and almost no drop outs or physical tape issues. Buy in lots of 5 or 10 from reputable (and cheaper) sources (I got mine from Cameta: good service).
