Just what I was looking for, a small compact radio to take along camping and leave laying around in case of emergency. The weather bands will be usefull in both cases.
Note that there is no AC charger for it, and the batteries are not replaceable - the power comes from solar charger or hand crank. It's about the height & width of a soda can, maybe 1/2 the thickness, and light enough to toss ...

Very nice piece of equipment, I was surprised it came with an additional radio. The only thing I don't like is they don't tell you the range of the 2 way radio's. I'm yet to test that out. I've had the Eton FR300 Emergency Radio, for the longest time and still have that next to my bed. But the FR1000 makes a nice addition strapped down to my Polaris Sportsman EFI 800

I ordered three of the solar radios from Amazon.com for Christmas and the kids played with them for a long while. One of the radios wasn't working properly so you replaced it immediately. I think they will use them for a long time to come.

Bought this to replace a cheap one I got on Ebay that caused me a lot of problems. Like the fact that it has separate cables for each device because you don't have to worry about a USB device wide enough to block the port next to it. Shipped faster than I expected I was surprised it was in my mailbox. All of the devices I have connected work perfectly.
