I purchased this receiver to power my 5.1 home theater about 1 month ago. It is a good component and produces great sound. There are a number of surround sound modes and it has some nice features. I wish the unit had more than 2 optical hookups...although this is sufficient. One drawback is that the users manual is poorly written and offers little real help.

I have had this unit installed on a yacht for 3 years and it works great. Sound is excellent, the sub is small enough to stash away in a cabinet, the DVD has worked fine. The one glitch is that the treble control has a bug where you have to press the "select" button and "up" arrow on the treble to get a boosted treble to kick in. Be careful when ordering.
The item described and pictured here is NOT a DD-6200. It is a different Sherwood model. The DD-6200 does not have dual auto-reverse. Only one tape drive has dual auto-reverse capability. I found out the hard way. The product arrived in the mail (from J&R - also described incorrectly on their website) and it was not as described here.
