update for charging love this little emergency wonder! Fits easily into my GO pack and even travels well on hiking trips where a low weight pack is a must. OK... I found one of my phone chargers from an older blackberry fits this and charges it perfectly where electricity is available. The solar is great when you have no power but have some solar gain. The crank is purely in an emergency... you have to crank a ...

Weather X
Weather X, 2007
Great little emergency radio Versatile all-in-one appliance will come in handy for both everyday use and when the power goes out. The pivoting light panels with adjustable brightness levels and independent operation are an excellent idea, and the lantern shape will fit or hang almost anywhere. Great value for the price!

Great product This is a great item to have for emergencies. We live in an area that has ice storms, and tornadoes frequently, and the power usually goes out. This is great so that we can still see and listen to what is going on.

Nice clock, terrible alarm This is a nice clock, but a terrible radio alarm. If you want to listen to the radio just hit the on button and the radio plays nicely, but if you set the alarm there's no guarantee the radio will play. Instead, you may just get static, very quiet static that won't wake you up. I like the blue face, I like the indoor/outdoor temperatures, but this clock fails at being a reliable alarm. I ...

This phenomenal radio offers the best combination of sensitivity, selectivity and audio performance ever for any radio of this price and size. Shortwave is excellent right off the whip antenna. The five-inch speaker is accurate, pleasant and reproduces deeper bass than any portable of similar size. This radio also features RF gain control, bandwidth control, bass and treble controls, fast and slow tuning, 50 station memories, lighted buttons, a ...

Couldn't be happier This clock has many features on it. It is modern with the slide front cd loader. It has several colors to choose from for the clock. It is an auto dimmer so that the light doesn't bother you while you try to sleep-it is still bright with some colors but not as bad as most clocks. The Nap feature is awesome...Dual alarm and battery back up. Everything we were looking for in an alarm. The sound is ...

Great Emergency Radio I bought this radio as well as the Kaito Solarcraknk KA500. The Eton gives me 32 minutes of play time for 3 minutes of cranking. The Kaito KA500 produces only 4 minutes of play time for 3 minutes of hand cranking. The Microlink FR 150 is smaller than a dollar bill, making it great for a backpack or glovebox. This is truly an emergency/survival radio. If sound quality is really important to you, ...

great radio, excellent value This radio has excellent reception, very good sound quality, and the controls are easy to use. Even after being dropped many times onto a hardwood floor from bed level it remains cosmetically undamaged and still works great. Best portable radio I've ever owned.

Love it. I've had this system for two years. It's not the most user friendly set up. and it takes some getting used to. but it's very easy to work once you get a handle for it. I love it. Other reviewers have problems with grainy sound and bright lights keeping them up. I don't have those problems. just wish i could take it to college with me.

Good for under $30 I looked at a lot of emergency radios and this one came out on top. The weather station in Los Angeles comes in crystal clear, even running off just the dynamo. The hand crank is sturdy enough. The radio works well, but it works best with the batteries in it. The tuner is sensitive, but once you get it on a station, it sticks. The flashlight is OK. The emergency siren is OK. The back battery ...

Sturdy and Dependable I looked around at cheaper shower radios and also looked at the high-end offerings. This was the perfect price point of top quality. I've owned this radio for over a year and it is just such a part of my daily routine that I would really miss it if it were gone. Set your favorite stations on one band and set another person's favorites on another. Choose to listen to an early AM talk show or get ...

a fine unit Light was bright, flashlight useful, siren loud. One problem: the mode switch is badly designed. It switches between flashlight, off, lantern, and siren. Whoops. Very easy to accidentally turn on the siren in the dark. Folks in neighboring tents will love you. Also, the off setting is in the middle of the sequence, not at the end. I can't quite say why that's bad, but I wouldn't have designed it ...

Just plain Junk I am a security guard and bought the item for the multi-use functions. None of the items worked well and I would have been more happy if I had bought a radio tha had been smashed and an attempt was made to fix it with the American Duct Tape.
