Excellent Book

Scott Kelby walks you through each process step by step and gives clear, concise explanations of each process. This is an excellent book, and I find myself applying some of the concepts to other work (not just photographs). Definitely a buy. You should also check out his Lightroom book and his books on digital photography.

Good tips, but lacking in the whys

I found the book provides some useful tips and approaches but that it lacks much in the area of why to take those approaches. This "step-by-step" type of book on Photoshop and digital photography is more the norm than the exception, but fundamental understanding of the principles of why to perform an action or technique is difficult to get from this book - and that makes it difficult to apply more generally to the photographs that YOU actually take.

I also found that the authors tongue in cheek style to be tiring after the first several chapters.

Money well spent

This is a fine book for someone who wants a step-by-step cook book on how to do things with PSCS3. Kellb's humor gets in the way at times but I can live with that as his instructions are outstanding. The book is at my side most of the time Photoshop is running.

A MUST FOR ALL DSLR PHOTOGRAPHERS

The Adobe Photoshop CS3 Book for Digital Photographers (Voices That Matter)what can I say about this book its fab it cool and most of all scott is the best at his job, if you need to know how to use adobe CS3 then this book is a must. I would just say go head and buy this book, you will not be sorry at all.

Good Material

This is a well written instruction manual without being overly technical. I have been a Photoshop user for many years but this book introduced me to several things I did not know and explanined the new features of CS 3 very well. Could use fewer quips.
