I want to share this book with my daughters

I read this book in the sixth grade, and have thought about it many times over the years. I now have a daughter in the 6th grade and would love for her to experience the power of a wonderful book. Please bring this book back so that my daughters can begin to create their own memories.

Enchanting.

I confess when I was younger I didn't do that much reading. This was one of those books that you remember. When I was reading it I just couldn't put it down. Now I'd like my nieces to read it. Hopefully, even if its 20 years after I read it, they will find it as enchanting as I did.

Memorable and Impactful book for children and their parents

I read the Velvet Room in grade school and loved it. I then brought it home and read a chapter each night with my mother. We switched off and read to each other. I have such fond memories of the book and the experience.

A story that will stay with you forever.

I also read this book as a elementary student. I still have my well worn copy in my "cedar trunk". It is one of the few items I have preserved as I have grown older (now I am 43). I have often gone to the "velvet room" in my head to escape and help deal with life. A truly memorable story!!

An unforgetable book

I've thought of this book many times in the past 30 years since I got it from Scholastic Books. Last time I saw my copy it was in several sections and without a cover. I tried to save it, but I read it 10 too many times. I'd love to have this book again - I'll let my daughter read it, but only after I read it again for the hundredth time!
