And A Big Finish

I'm glad that I didn't abandon this trilogy when I wasn't thrilled with the first book and was ho-hum about the second. This book was fabulous! It showed me that Roberts still has it, although lately she seems to show it on rare occassions. I cried a lot during this book because there were many touching moments. I think that Roberts must have loved this couple the most of the three and that's why she saved it for last.

The vampire, Cian, and the Geallian queen, Moira, have much to overcome to be together in this book. Moira almost kills Cian because she doesn't trust demons in the fist book. So to go from that to loving one shows that she comes a long way. Cian tries to keep her, and all his other emotions, at arms-length, because as a vampire he doesn't feel that he can handle all the emotions swirling through him after he joins the circle. Cian finally realizes that he's gone and done something that he's tried to avoid his entire thousand years of living- fallen in love with a human. Moira loves him as well and doesn't want to die in the battle that's coming up without exploring those feelings. They are together for the short time they have before the war and it is truly touching. The ending is wonderful as well, although I would have liked to savor it a bit longer. I didn't know if I was going to be keeping the books around, but after reading this one, I definitely want to.

Valley of Silence

At first the "vampire" thing made me reluctant to read the trilogy, but we are talking about Nora Roberts...
I did truly enjoyed all three books, but my only regret of Valley of Silence was that it ended. I loved it and I recommend the complete trilogy.

Awesome Trilogy!!

I enjoyed the book so much, I had to buy the audio version. The story is so good that I wanted to hear it. It's even better when you listen to it. The narrorator makes the characters come alive, especially Moira the scholar, Lilith and Cian the vampires. They have very powerful personalities. I loved listening to it and all of Nora Roberts books. I know you'll enjoy them too.

PS: You may want to start with the first book in the trilogy though.

This Series has it ALL

Nora Roberts has done it again!!!! A SUPERB story with everything you could ever want to read!!! My books go the library when I'm done, but this series is a KEEPER! Not your "traditional" romance....and that is what makes it rise ABOVE all the others!

my favorite of the trilogy

I just loved Cian throughout this trilogy, and as one who has never gotten into vampire stories before, I was not expecting to find him so compelling. All the characters in this trilogy were well developed, but there was really something special about this pairing. A great book and a great resolution to the conflict as well.
