Brilliant Series

We started reading this series to our son when he was 6. As we progressed through the books he started reading them to us. Although based on a "formula" the books transport the children to many locations and times, offering them an opportunity to learn some historical facts within an adventure story. The author has obviously done extensive research on the topics, weaving fact and fiction throughout. Significantly better than the Secrets of Droon series. Our son looked forward to reading every night and continuing the stories, begging for the next and the next and the next book. Worth every penny.

A great beginning for my 4 year old

This was our first journey into chapter books for our 4 year old son. I never imagined he'd stay focused for so long. The plots are everything a 4 year old boy could dream of - Knights, Dinosaurs...etc. I even enjoy the books - I can't believe I never read them as a child. We are both very excited to move on to the next set!
