Even experienced parents can learn alot from this book!

Even though I was pretty aware of the latest parenting techniques, this book gave me new insights into handling sibling relationships such as the subtle ways that parents compare children without realizing it and the effects of children comparing each other. Read it once before the second child is born and again every few years!

This book is great even if you don't have kids of your own.

I don't have children, but this book has helped in talking to children in general and even in dealing with other adults. The psychology behind Faber's method, although designed for children, holds true for many adult situations as well. I've bought copies of this book and some of her other titles for friends with children, and *every* recipient has immediately bought copies for everyone she or he knows. In a way, this book helped reduce some of the fear of becoming a mother, in charge of shaping a new person's life and character.

quick, useful read

This book provides practical help with sibling rivalry that can be put to immediate use in the home. I found it a quick read that is extremely helpful. Puts parents in touch with the issues from the children's point of view.

Solid advice for anyone with 2 or more children.

I loved this book! Siblings Without Rivalry is full of unconventional advice like "children don't need to be treated equally, they need to be treated uniquely." My friends constantly comment on how well my 3 kids get along. I give this book a lot of the direct credit. It gave me a whole new perspective on dealing with multiple children.

When I used the suggestions from this book on my own 2 kids, MIRACLES took place in our home. I don't claim that my children are squabble-free, but when conflicts arise, I use the techniques in this book to help them resolve their differences. We are all so grateful to the authors for the rewards!
