Entertaining Book by A Very Entertaining Man!
This book has something for everyone. It exposes Dr. Richard
Feynman's multifaceted
life. He not only was a great Physicist, but a complex man that makes us laugh. From a brief and funny history of his work in the Manhattan project to very personal events in his life, this book has it all. A great read!!
Feynman - Brilliant scientist, curious character
Feynman
was a brilliant scientist, and he has made fundamental contribution to the field of quantum mechanics. But, this book is NOT about any of his scientific discoveries. It is about his
character
, his nature and his wit. This book is like a collection of humorous anecdotes from various points in his life - like breaking locks at Los Alamos, being the
you
ngest Mr.Fixit for radios, his
adventures
at topless bars, his personal eccentricities, his emotions about his early demise of his wife - to name a few.
Feynman is a good storyteller, though I do not agree with all his views, esp, that he has scant respect for fields not connected with physics or mathematics. I am a computer scientist myself and I feel that Feynman's disrespect for other fields of study, esp those related to humanities will not make this book a suitable reading for a person deciding to make a career choice. He provides an unbalanced and in my opinion, an unfair review of other fields of study.
If you are a scientist and are looking to have a hearty laugh or two, you'll finish this book in one sitting.

Adventures
of a
Curious
Character
is an awesome book about a nobel prize winning physicist named Richard P. Feynman, who encounters many interesting, and at times, unusual obstacles and adventures throughout the span of his lifetime. Mr. Feynman's crazy antics throughout this book remind me of a more professional Michael Richards (Cosmo Kramer, Seinfeld) but still with humor. The book starts with his life as a child with some short stories, to his college days, up to his assistance to the atomic bomb. This book is an awesome book for people from teenagers on up, and will always draw your attention to the book, wondering what crazy thing Mr. Feynman will do next.

adventures of a life led fully
this a terrific book about
Feynman's life
, and not an overview of the ideas he had that got him a Nobel prize. he is a person who cannot be boxed up or pigeonholed, and his many zany
adventures make
for good reading. Even someone who didn't go to MIT or learn advanced mathematics can relate to Feynman's unique approach to life, and his wonderful ideas. Highly recommended reading for every type of person.
