Coming Home

I loved this book!!!
It is about a girl named Amy Fleming they live on a horse farm in Virginia. One day when Amy and her friend Soraya go for a ride on the trails they here a horse. Amy notices that the horse had been abandoned. Franticly she gallopes back to the house to tell her mom when a bad storm hits. Amy insists on on going to get the horse. When finally her mother agrees they go get the horse. On the way back they get in a tragic accident. Can Amy hang on. Can she keep the farm going by herself and her grandpa and her sister that came down from Manhattin? This is one of the most sad books I've ever read. I reccomend you read it also along with the other series. I loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Touching and Emotional

This is one of the best books I have ever read. It is very sad and emotional, but it leaves you feeling satisfied and hopeful.
I would recomend it mostly to kids 11 and up, (I'm thirteen and I loved it) but I think anyone would enjoy it. It is perfect for horse lovers (like me) but I think even people who don't like horses will end up crying for the horses anyway. This book is very realistic, and describes Amy's feelings to where you feel like you really are her.
Amy and her mom were in an accident on their way to save a horse. Amy survives but her mom has died. She is left with Heartland, with very little help to keep it runnig.
I think that anyone that reads this will think that it was one of the best books they've ever read.

Awesome Series!

The Heartland series is awesome!!!! I've read the first 6 books, and they're all great! They have just the right balance of horse stuff and human stuff. The stories in each book keep you reading and wanting to know what happens next. Another series that I think is a lot like this one is the Pine Hollow series-it's awesome too!!!!! There are characters in this series that are alot like the ones in the Pine Hollow series- Amy-Stevie/Carole/Lisa, Ty-Ben, Jack-Max, Ben-Red(they're both stablehands???) Anyways, the Heartland series rocks, so read it and you'll be glad you did!

What awonderful story

My 12 year old loves horses. We have finally bought a horse for her in the last year. However, for the last few years we have boughten everything to do with horses for her. Including the Heartland series. I just read the first book the other night. I enjoyed the story, it was a very emotional storyline. Needless to say, I cried through the whole book. I can't wait to read the rest of the series. I would reccomend this series to people of all ages. They are great books!

BEST BOOK EVER!!

I LOVE the heartland books, and this on is the first of them all. The heartland books are a great series for all teens and preteens, be they horselovers or not! Lauren Brooke makes it feel as if you are the main character, Amy. You can feel her anger, and her happiness. It's one of the greatest book's I've ever read!
