Pulls you right in...

There are many books that are good; interesting, well-written, funny, etc. But not that many books pull you into the world of the book. This one does. When I start reading "Wild Magic" I want to do nothing but sit and read. I've read the book many times, but it still has that effect.

I don't normally like fantasty. In fact, Tamora Pierce is one of the very few fantasy authors who I enjoy reading. That is because the magic, supernatural parts are not overwhelming. Sure, the magic parts are vital to the story. But the characters are people I can relate to, and the world is a world that I can somewhat recognize. I haven't seen that much in other fantasy books.

Magical Book

This was the first book I read by Tamora Pierce. Ever since I read it, I have been wishing I could live in Tortall. Life seems so exciting there. This is the first book about Daine, who has the power to speak to animals. After the death of the mother, Veralidaine Sarrasri ventures south to Tortall with the horse trainer Onua. On her way, she meets not only new friends, Numair and Alanna, but also deadly immortal creature called Stormwings and Spidrens. As Daine slowly develops her ability to speak to animals, called wild magic, war brws south of Tortall in Carthak. At the end of the book, Daine must call on her animal friends to protact Pirate's Swoop from invaders. Amazing book, once in finish the Immortals, I'll go on the read the Protector of the Small.

Spectacular!

WILD MAGIC by Tamora Pierce was a spectacular book. The vivid and memorable characters were fully developed, allowing the readers to unintentionally analyze them. The conflicts transcended the time and setting for the readers to emphasize with,the vocabulary was moderate, and the plot was as entertaining as it was smooth. A book that cacthes your attention from the first page, it is great for students, and has been noticed to cause addictiveness from elementary school to middle school. This truly was a spectacular book.

I have read this book and the others in its series and Tamora Pierce does a wonderful job. Before I boughgt the book I came to amazon.com to see what others had to say, and I have not seen a single bad review towards Pierce and her collections. Any animal lover will enjoy this book and the rest of the series. Like I said in the title, it may sound corny but it was terrific!

Wild Magic is a remarkable book that you won't be able to put down. Full of magic, suspense, action, friendship, and bits of humor, it's a wonderfully rounded tale. Tamora Pierce takes you on a wild and magical ride with characters, settings, and adventures that you will never forget. We journey with Daine as she comes to terms with her magic and herself and learns that, with the proper training, her magic could very well bring back balance to the world.
An excellent addition to anyone's bookshelf. It's well written and won't be easy to put down. After you read Wild Magic, go to the bookstore or library to check out the rest of the Immortals series. I know i'm repeating myself, but this is one of the most magical, emotional, and action-packed books i've ever read. It's hard to describe so go read it for yourself!
