I Loved This Man
I think this was one of the best books this man has written. He writes so well,Every chapter had me waiting on the next. The characters were so real I damn near cryed about what happened to Debra and Leonard. And when Shelby and Tyrel finally realized what was real, I was so happy I closed the book in ahhhhhh.
maaaaaaarvelous
I first read Cheaters and I was so overwhelmed by Mr. Dickeys work that I went out and bought all of his book. I read Sister Sister,
Friends
and
Lovers
, and I've just finished Milk in My Coffee. I get so caught up in the characters it's crazy. All I have to say is mover over E, Lynn Harris, there is a New Sherriff in town.

Mind Candy
Friends
and
Lovers
is about the adverse changes and maturing of relationships that transcends color. Eric's writting style is so fluid that it seems as though you flow from one life to the next in a matter of hours. I felt as though I genuinely knew each of the characters. And found a lot of myself in each of them. Everyone can relate to one if not all of the different events that took place. This book is a refreshing escape for the mind-as well as thought provoking. Live each second of life to its' fullest with no "what ifs". Treasure opportunities that present themselves. But most importantly, never lose sight of who you are by allowing someone else to create your happiness. You will enjoy and admire his array of characters along with his colorful hidden messages that are really powerful. Read this one! Then buy a few copies for your friends and family! Men and women alike. You won't be disappointed;however, I must warn you...if you are looking for a lifeless, mundane, "I'll read the rest tomorrow" story-you'll need to look someplace else! Go get it this book...now!

All THAT!
This book was so funny, I was reading while I was at work. My co-workers kept looking around at me to see if I lost my mine, I was laughing so hard. When I finish reading the book I went straight to my nearest bookstore and damm near brought everything by this magnificent author.
Get out the tissues
After I'd put away the Kleenex, I ran to the bookstore to find a way to focus on someone else's drama other than my own. This was not the book. I was easily pulled into the storyline, not simply because I knew the locale; EJD has a writing style that is smooth, rythmic and realistic. The characters were well developed, could've been anyone you know, and I found myself getting particularly p'o'ed at some of the choices made by Shelby, one of the main characters. Throughout the book, I laughed, I got mad, took long walks down memory lane, and ultimately cried my eyes out focusing on someone else's drama. I have one complaint though: there isn't enough of his work out there yet. I want more. And one suggestion if you're there, Mr. Dickey: please don't mention real people's names. They just might be the one your reader is trying to forget.
