The best of the series

I've read all three of J.R. Ward's "Black Dagger Brotherhood" series. Her first two were spectacular, creating yet another version of vampires that is different from every other interpretation. The men of the Brotherhood are warriors protecting the diminishing species of vampires being hunted by the Lessening Society. These vampires do not prey on humans, nor are they soulless. In book 3, we follow the story of the least "human" of the Brotherhood, Zadist. In the previous books, even his brothers are frightened of him. He'd been portrayed as no better than a monster, which is why this book is such a delight. To watch Zadist transform himself to allow love with Bella and connect with his brothers is an unexpected treat. You must read the other two to fully appreciate this book, but for any fan of vampire novels, this one belongs on your shelf.

Wonderful! Best Brotherhood book so far

This is the 3rd book from the brotherhood series.
When I read the second book (Rhage's story), and realized Zsadist was next I was a bit leery about going into this book, although he was the darkest of the brothers and the one who had the most clouds around him - I just did not see him fall in love.

But I was pleasantly surprised!

As all the other books the plot continues with the Lessers and John - although a few questions about John are answered, many many more questions are brought up about Phury, Butch, Vishous.

If you havent read any of the other previous 2 books you will be a bit confused so I do highly suggested reading the brotherhoods books 1 & 2 before venturing into this one.

Bella was an ok person, she did not thrill me as much as she did in the second book - but she was a wonderful match for Zsadist.

Just get better and better.........

Wow....that's all I can say about this book. Okay, I can say something more about it. I guess when you read alot of series you expect there to be a book or two that is just....okay. This is definitely not one of those series. This book is as good, if not better than the other two. Everything you want in a paranormal series is right here in these BDB books. From the very first page, you are pulled into the story of Zsadist, the cold and dark killer of the BDB whose own past haunts him constantly. The only person who appears to be the cure to his madness is Bella. The story starts off where the 2nd book ends. Zsadist, with the help of Butch and the other brothers searches for Bella who was kidnapped by a lunatic of a lesser. The cause to Z's coldness is revealed when you learn about his tragic past.
This book alone gets, 5 stars from me. If I were to rate the series so far, I would give it a 10!!!

Run don't walk to get this book!

All I can say is WOW! Best series I've read in years. Can't wait until the next one comes out in September.
