BRILLIANT! JUST BRILLIANT!!

Okay, so I was a bit suspicious about actually purchasing this book after reading some of the reviews on amazon, but I am thoroughly happy that I did! This book was totally worth the 8 pounds that I paid for it! Vishous's story will make you cry. It is inevitable. His character is equivalent to Zsadist's in terms of the hardships that he's faced and his story just amazing. I highly recommend this book as I do believe it is one of Ward's best in this series. To date, my favorite characters are now Zsadist and Vishous. Please, do yourself a big favor, and purchase this amazing book. It is worth every dollar or pound, trust me.

I liked it...

Liked it a lot, actually. I wish it had been a little darker, even. V was very bland to me, until Butch's story, and I was very happy that his story was next in line. Then I read it, and I'm STILL happy with it.

I found V's story pretty fascinating, and really liked how introspective he was. I also liked that Jane wasn't continually "melting" or "softening" to him...until it was a little further into the story. But I have to say that so many of these heroines of Ward's are not fleshed out realistically...Jane is a well-known SURGEON. That takes a lot of time, effort, and intelligence, but Jane is so "PLAIN Jane." How many successful woman HEART SURGEONS are there, really? She shouldn't have been such an "everyday woman" to me; I'd still be able to relate.

And I really wanted more details about V's sudden decision on how to "say goodbye" and what led up to THAT particular decision. Cause that's not normal. You don't just "switch sides" like that so easily (not speaking from experience here, but I can make a pretty educated guess on that one). Although Jane's reaction to it was completely in line with her character.

LOL...I almost think WARD didn't really know enough about it, and that was why it was so tame. Nah...Couldn't be!! Could it? I've certainly read more intimate details of this type of thing, so why not here? I mean, that's SO MUCH of his personality right there, so why isn't it explored more? Ward's sex is very neopolitan to me...just different enough to not be vanilla, but vanilla enough to not be super hot.

5 Stars: Anyway. I still loved it, and re-read it just the other day, foregoing a NEW book to read it, BTW, which I rarely do. Guess my imagination can deal with the abbreviated sex Ward dished up!

LOVER UNBOUND

I started reading the BDB Series with this book. While I have to agree with the majority of the comments, the ending for Book 5 felt so incomplete. I was disappointed with how things ended between Vishous and Jane. I felt it was weak. I was so rooting for V for something solid because he deserved it.

Nonetheless, I continued to read the other books in chronological order. So, in comparison with the other 4 book series, with their ending, I was satisfied with how Ward wrap up each characters' stories. JR Ward created a world of characters that you can't help but fall in love and cheer them on! Because I am now bound to the BDB, I can't wait to read about Phury...

Frustrating But Still Great!
