5 Stars for the first half, -1 for the second
From the first sentence this book grabbed me and kept me enthralled until about 1/2 way through the book, and at one point I only continued reading to see if the author would come up with anything new. Don't get me wrong...the first half is WELL worth reading whether you read the second half or not. It's just that you get the whole shebang in the first half. After that, its just repitition to the point of agravation. The first spanking, for example, is thrilling. The 100th is a bore. Give me something new. Therefore, I highly recommend the first half of this book to any reader who enjoys fairy tales and erotica. For more variety on the same theme, I would also recommend Bedtime Stories for Women by Nancy Madore, which has a whole bunch of fairy tales - with a DIFFERENT fantasy in every story (all of them fantastic).

I read them all!!
I loved ALL three books! I will admit I didn't like the underage theme and it bothered me throughout the series when it crept up but it is fantasy. (And I'm not a pedophile either!!) I enjoyed reading about the spanking and the detail of this "world" was wonderful. Mind you, you wont find me traipsing through those halls because I am not even remotely close to that kind of
beauty
! This is definitely fantasy! My favorite of the three was the last one. It appeared to be milder and to my liking, whereas the first two were severe in content but addicting. I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys erotica but I would warn them first that it is intense.

The Claiming Of Sleeping Beauty.
Oh for goodness sake people it's a D/s novel and it's a fantasy, it may not be the best written book ever but lighten up.
can't decide
on one hand i hated the book but on the other, i came when i thought about it... hmmmmm.
anyway, this book was recomened to my by a collegue at work, i must say that i will look at her different now,
anyway, this is what i think:
-anne rice is a great writer, she knows how to describe scenes very well and how to disturb your mind very well also.
-this book has no plot, or character development
-describes a bunch of stuff
i will admit the book had me intrigued though. so thats why i won't give it too bad of a rating, if you have some time and want to read something new go for it because i don't think it's like anything you've ever read before.
the thing that amazes me is that i didn't like the book but i couldn't put it down! go fig
