EVERYONE NEEDS THIS BOOK!!

I have the "Queen of Clean" book and it's great for resolving household problems, but Martha's book gives you tons of advice on everything from how to buy a mattress to how to organize your pantry. I take it to bed with me every night and read a few pages - it has really helped me to have a much more organized home and life!!!!

I love Martha so I bought this book. Being a Mom who has tried to instill cleanliness into 2 daughters, I thought this book to be a great gift to new brides to help start out their new lives. It will be my standard gift for all young brides. I wish I had had it when I was just getting started. It covers EVERYTHING possible about taking care of a home. Large or small! GREAT BUY!

Martha Stewart's Homekeeping Handbook

I love this book! It is the perfect home reference for everything your mother never taught you how to do. I wish I had this when I first got married, and didn't know anything. Worth every penny.

Outdated Info

The hard cover with protective clear sleeve is a very nice touch. I found the book to be extremely thick and full of all kinds of info, though I felt some of the information was old fashion and out of date. The thing that surprised me the most, especially since Martha is so earth friendly, was there was no mention of household steam cleaners. Steam cleaners sterilize and disinfect with out harsh chemicals and do a fantastic job on bathroom faucets, windows, tile and much more. Maybe Martha isn't up on these new gadgets because she doesn't have time to do her own house cleaning.
