Just like I remember

I have a vague/pleasant memory of this cartoon as a child and I was surprised to see it available (I enjoyed the HBO series in the 80's). This character "Harold" is great for developing the imagination. The book is brand new condition and I'm glad I found it on Amazon.

Classic Keeper

I had this book when I was a child - my favorite. I gave it to a friend, an elementary school teacher, when she had her second son. She had never seen the book and asked how in the world I had found it. The book, she said, was her son's favorite book. Now I am getting it again for my daughter.

An Everlasting Classic

My husband (age 42) vividly remembers reading this book as a child. My son loves it even more! He was able to recite the entire book, just by looking at the illustrations before he turned two! A must read for every family.

This book was just brand new and as wonderful as I remember it being when I was a kid. An imaginative adventure of the best kind.

An imaginative classic

Not only is this a favorite bedtime read for both my 2-year-old and my 5-year-old, but it was also one of my favorite books when I was a child. The way in which the little boy draws up his own world is so compelling that you long to jump in and explore right beside him. Harold's world of vivid purple lines is fantastic, mysterious, and even haunting. When I read the book, it is clear that Harold only reveals to us a brief but tantalizing glimpse into this vast realm of his. As we close the book each night, we continue to wonder: Where does that road eventually lead? Who lives in the city? What lies under the waters of the ocean? And, most importantly: Are the apples still safe?
