A must-read for all parents.

I read this book in one day. I am truly amazed by John Walsh and his wife's strength at such an awful time. I'm sure Adam Walsh in in heaven now and is very proud of what his Dad has accomplished in his memory. No parent should let this book go unread. It will make you hug your child and think twice about taking your eyes off them, even for a split second. John Walsh has a heart of gold and the world is a much better place with him in it. Thank you Mr. Walsh for opening up your pain to us and letting us in your heart.

It opened my eyes to the nightmare of loosing a child

When the Adam Walsh case was all over the news, I was only five years old. Now at 21, I read about the pain and suffering of the parents of Adam. I don't know how someone could be so mean and cruel as to rape and murder a child. John Walsh is a very brave man and I think he is an example to parents like him all over the world. John pointed out something to me, that you can survive anything. God never puts more on us than we can handle. I hope that Adam is in heaven and that he is happy and will hurt no more. Everyone should read this book, whether they have children or not. I am not a parent myself, but I can almost imagine the hell they went through. To John and his family, God bless you and keep you well.

If you thought there were no more heros......

I wanted to read this book because the Adam Walsh Story had always touched my heart. And, through the years, I have grown to admire his father, the author, more than any other person I've read about or heard about. This is an excellent book. The openness and honesty of the book is so very touching. There was so much of this story that I had never heard about... and now... even more so than before... I respect John Walsh.. (and Reve', as well)... In my opinion... he is a real hero.. he has taken the worst thing that could happen to a person.. a parent...and found the strength to do so much good for children.. for parents.. for crime victims... he is a true hero. I have recommeded this book to everyone I know... we all hope that we will never become a victim of crime... but we all need to know what has happened to the Walsh Family... to learn the things they have learned... Thank you John and Reve' Walsh.

A powerful book

Walsh is convincing and compelling in discussing his son's murder and the subsequent struggle to find justice. I found myself quite sad about the state of our police system, lack of compassion and need for stronger consequences toward pedophiles. This book isn't for everyone, but as a social worker, I highly recommend it for anyone working with children and families.

Adam Walsh

It make me want to keep my daughter who is 4, in the house under my thumb every second, I feel so hopeless, there is no justice,,, John and Reve....You are Heroes...Stand strong .....We believe in YOU!!!!
