Great Book

This is a great prequel to the CD-Rom game that blew the world away. I suggest anyone that liked the game should buy it.

Great book, especially for fans of the game.

This is one great book. I just could not put it down. From cover to cover, there is incredible description that makes you feel like you are there. It's also great for fans of the Myst game, as you discover secrets about unknown backround of Myst characters. This book also has a great storyline. It is about Atrus, a boy living in the desert with his grandmother, who finally meets his dad. His dad takes Atrus to the ruins of an ancient civilization and teaches him the ways of D'ni writing. This may not sound interesting, but the fact that his father has evil intentions a the elements of adventure and action. You will very much like this book, and be sure to also get the sequels. These are the Book of Ti'ana and the book of D'ni. The Quality of storyline and writing increase as the books go along. Knowing how good a book this is, you must buy the others. If you like a great book, buy this one.

REWARD YOUR EYES!

You owe it to your eyes to read this book and the two others in the series (Ti'Ana & D'Ni). They are just the best books I have ever read and the hard back versions are just the icing on the cake.

Myst the Book of Atrus

I think that this book is the best book that I have ever read. It is about this boy named Atrus who lives in the desert with his grandma and oneday finaly gets to meet his father. His father teachers him about the D'ni writing and how to write it. It is amazing because the author keeps you on your toes througout the whole story. I haven't read the other 2 book of Myst yet but I plan on it in the future

Where's the sixth star?

I only asked because it would be filled in, too. This was an incredible book, and was a perfect prelude to the game. The character insights and setting descriptions painted a vivid picture in your mind's eye--you could SEE everything that was happening. Nothing I've ever read before could hold a candle to this wonderful novel...but that could change. I haven't read the rest of the trilogy, yet. =)
