Classically Great.
Crank
is perhaps one of my all time favorite books. It really changed the way I thought about drugs. The story itself is amazing, and the format is perfect. I really love this book and would HIGHLY recommend it.
the burn journals
When your upset what do you do do? Do you cry? Do you curl up in a ball and talk to know one? Brent Runyon a 14 year old boy from Falls Church Virginia was very troubled and upset about his situation. He does not do very well in school and he is depressed alot. His best friend, Steven starts going out with the girl he likes and the day earlier he set a gym locker on fire with a match. When he gets off the bus he rushes towards his house, drops his books, and goes straight towards his room. He pours gasoline all over his robe, drapes it over his shoulders and lights the match. In a state of shock he drops to his knees. He is sent to a hospital and is immediately put into surgery. Brent spends four months in a hospital.
Throughout most of this book it is about Brent and him dealing with burn care. This book was a very easy read. It contained a lot of curse words but it helped the story flow and gave a real insight into Brent's thoughts and feelings. I would recommend this book to teenagers and adults. To find out what happens to Brent after all of his surgeries you must read the rest of this exciting book which I enjoyed so much.

Something different
I knew this was about drugs when I read the back, and I expected a pretty good book, but I didn't do the thing I always do when I see these type of books, which is check its format. When I realized it was all in poetry, I was pushed away, but I gave it a chance and was surprised by how good it was. Poetry suits this story.
Fantastic
Crank
is an amazing book that every teenager should read. It lets you get a full blown view into what drugs can do to our lives and how it can affect not only ourselfs, but everyone around us. Not only is it an eye opener but it's way of writing is amazing.

My thoughts on Crank...
This book was probally one of the better drung/abuse books I have read...
This is a story about a girl that feels like she is being someone fake, at least in her own judgement. She is having a tough time living with her mother and her step-father and thinks that she should get away from her home life for a time being. She heads out to her real fathers house and for the first week does nothing...until she meets the most gourgous boy of her life.
After a few stops in the hall she realizes that he has a girlfriend even then this stops neither of them...we soon find out that he is somewhat of a druggy. She goes home and talks to her father who is coming down off the monster,

...and explains why they do it. Soon enough Kristina aka Bree...is lured into the world of the monster. She becomes addicted fast and falls in love. When it's time to go home she finds it hard to concentrate with out the monster.
Her mother begins to worry and her step father begins to get angrey. She mets a new boy that she likes mainly for his looks...the same day she gets to know the class tough guy...Kristina likes the tough sensative guy and Bree likes the hunk...she decides to choose both.
Soon she realizes she can't handle it any more without the monster and she doesn't know where to find it...luckily the tough guy knows.
A few days later she goes off with the hunk which didn't turn out so nice...he rapes her and a few months later she winds up pregnant...
In this book...this Kristina is led into a world of chaos...loosing all her old friends and doing things that she will regret forever. When I was finished it left a good impression on my mind even though she seemed to never be rid of her craving...or maybe she just didn't quit...not even for her baby.
Crank is a terrible drug and the unuque style of this book...drive the reader into what happens next mode...
This book I recomend to anyone that thinks they know it all about the drugs that we so lightly take granite for...
Thank You!
