A Hearbreaking and Emotional Read

I'm sure that this book is a catharsis for Sharon Rocha. To be able to tell the public about Laci's birth, life and death and justice for that death must be like talking to the best psychologist out there.

For Laci gives us the detailed behind-the-scenes look at the crime that other news sources didn't tell us. Let's just say that Scott Peterson comes out looking like the frightening, lying sociopath we all knew he was.

Knowing about the ways the Rocha family planned for Conner's anticipated birth are very sad and touching. To picture Scott murdering Laci and thus ending Conner's life before he had a chance to enjoy it is hard to bear.

Best Laci Peterson book

This is the best book I have read regarding the Laci Peterson case. I completed the book in a day & 1/2. Sharon Rocha did an amazing job at describing not only the events surrounding the case, but all of her greatest memories of Laci, in happier times. I give her so much credit, and feel that she is so brave to be able to indulge these feelings and information with the world. She made me feel as though I was a part of it, I had to reach for the Kleenex more than once. I would highly recommend this book, and I agree with the other positive reviews. I'm not even sure how to comment on the negative reviews, other than agreeing with Theresa (New York), that those reviews must be coming from the Peterson Clan.

Only From a Mother Could This Book Come

With a set of twin daughters of my own, I don't even try to imagine what Sharon Rocha has and continues to endure - a mother's worst nightmare, the death of a child. It doesn't matter if they are 80 - they are still your children. To have to tell the story of the last time you saw your child and the days of searching that never ended and then the stretch of time where she nor the rest of the family were sure that Scott was guilty or innocent is more than this parent can comprehend. The book was full of undisputed facts in the whole situation, it took the reader from beginning to the conclusion which was the trial. The nightmare will never end for Sharon Rocha or those that loved Laci, I am sure this book helped, but it will never end until Sharon and Laci and Conner are together in heaven. Sharon Roacha is one of the bravest people that I have ever witnessed, I would have taken the coward's way out, Scott Peterson would not have been alive to stand trial, and I know that is not God's way.

EXCELLENT BOOK

In response to shalby922's pathetic review below, (who is probably really one of the Peterson clan): get your facts straight before you condemn a mother who's daughter was murdered. Sharon Rocha stated publically that the proceeds for this book were going to law enforcement to help them purchase equipment to find missing persons. She is NOT "profiting" from her daughter's death.

This was ane excellent book and my heart breaks for Sharon who has experienced the worst thing a person can experience: outliving their child.

Oh my gosh, I bought this book a few days ago & I just finished it last night...I could NOT put it down...I have read all the other books regarding this case & this one by far is the most insightful, heartbreaking, compassionate one yet with the true facts of the case...Words can NOT describe this book, it is definately a MUST HAVE book & make sure you have the tissues ready when reading...Laci's mother makes you feel like you are their with her & her family from the get go of the book all the way thru until the end...The ending is very sad but true with what Sharon Rocha experienced...To all out their, PLEASE buy this book & read it, you will too feel the step by step life of Laci Peterson & her mother...OUTSTANDING JOB SHARON ROCHA on this book...My heart still aches for you & your family for your loss of a beautiful daughter & grandson...My prayers are with you all...
