I felt the hurt and pain of this child.

This book was great. It opened my eyes to what a child can actually go through and survive. I would read a chapter and have to put the book down to cry. I'm not talking about a little cry either. It changed my outlook on life. I now look at children in a different light. I look for the hurt in their eyes.

Astounding

I borrowed this book from a friend for something to read. As I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. The heart wrenching tales of this poor boy had me holding my breath at times. After an hour and a half of reading, I finished the book. I found it hard to sleep that night, thinking about the pain David endured. My heart goes out to him, and to all others who are in similar situations.

A powerful story that impacted my entire outlook on children

A gripping novel that should be recommended to every parent. I have never felt such horrifying pain from a book. My understanding of the feelings of children now have totally changed my outlook about these little creatures. I never used to be fond of children, but I have really grown to love them and realize what precious jewels they are. I'm glad that David decided to share his story with the world, so I can learn a valuable lesson before I start to bring these wonderful people in my life.

Earth-shattering, Painfully Moving Real Life Story

When I started to read this book, I could not put it down! I was planning on just browsing through it in the bookstore and ended up reading half of the book right there. This story will shake every fiber of your being. This horrifying story of the abuse this boy suffered at the hands of his mother will have you almost feeling exactly what he felt, seeing things as he saw them and will allow you to experience the amazing inner strength it took to survive. Everyone should own a copy of this book. It is not one you will want to read again, but everyone should read it.

I FELT HS PAIN THOUGH I WAS NOT ABUSED MYSELF

I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THE MOTHER OF THIS MAN. I CANT BELIEVE THAT A HUMAN CAN TREAT ANOTHER HUMAN THAT WAY. IT JUST BOGGLES MY MIND.
