A must have for first time mommys-to-be!

I heard about a pregnancy journal from a Baby show. I wasn't sure which one it was but checking the reviews I decided to get this one. My only regret was that I didn't have it earlier. I got it around my 8th week. It's a great way for my husband to be involved as well. Each night before sleeping, we get into bed and catch up on the past few days entries. I like how you can log your feelings/mood/appetite/waist/weight every few weeks so you can keep track of how much you grow. It wasn't hard for me to enter my dates, I took a calender and worked backwards from my expected due date. It would help if they included a chart to help everyone figure it out though, but it wasn't a problem.
I totally plan on getting the Baby's first year journal and the toddler's first year. As you can tell, this is my first so I'm going all out. =)
I recommend this book to all my friends and plan on getting it as a gift for my sister in law whenever she gets pregnant.

What a wonderful tool!

I purchase this journal in 2002 after I found out I was pregnant with my daugther. After looking at many different journals I decided on this one due to the information given for each day, the questions for each day and the space to make notes. The questions helped to prompt me as to what to make notes of. At first I also had a hard time figuring out the correct dates to enter. Once I got that part figured I was good to go. I liked the size of the book too. I pasted in all the ultrasound pictures, cards I received, pictures of my growing belly and of Daddy hard at work painting the baby's room and putting together the crib. I pressed in flowers from congratulation bouquets and a copy of her foot prints at the very end. It is the only record of her life that we have as she passed away the day before she was due. I am truly grateful for this journal and all the happy memories it holds for us now. I strongly urge all expectant moms to use this journal, it is such a joy to look back on how far you've come and everything you experienced while pregnant. It's easy to forget the small stuff! Your child will also appreciate reading and learning about themsleves before they came into the world!

Great For 'DADDY to be'

This book was phenominal! My favorite thing about this book, was that I was a bit concerned about my husband as a father. Not that he would't be a good father, but that he would be inhibited because he didn't know how to be a father. This book quickly became a daily ritual for the 2 of us. Together we sat down each evening after he got home from work, and read that' day's growth, what was happening with our baby and what was happening with me! It really helped him to connect with our baby and also to sympathize with what I was going through...It made him feel like HE was going through the same changes! WONDERFUL! A MUST HAVE!

Wonderful information and memoir!

I used this daily journal every day of my pregnancy and LOVED the daily messages and information provided. I also wrote messages to my growing baby in the sections provided and in the margins on days they don't provide lines. I know my daughter will cherish this journal when she gets older. I am now giving this journal as a gift to new moms-to-be! A must-have for every pregnancy!!

Great for a first time mom

I bought this journal for my first pregnancy and was very happy with all the information inside. There are spots to write notes each week and my favorite was the How are you feeling today questions (ie..mood, energy, appetite, morning sickness and cravings). It was also packed full of useful information on the babies development as well as your own in your pregnancy. I recommend this for any first time mom that doesn't have a lot of time to journel but wants to get the basics down while learning about yourself and your baby.
