A Comfort To Read

This book is a classic for those who are going through a loss. Facing loss is not easy, it's painful. But for those with the courage to face their pain, let this book be your guide. The book is like a friend that really understands you and what you're going through. It tells you that its okay to be feeling what you're feeling and directs you to the way of healing. Though your eyes may be clouded with tears and you may not even know where all of the pieces of your heart have been scattered to...hang in there... and let this book bring you hope.

Absolutely unique and priceless

This book is not a "chapter" book, but is a collection of thoughts on loss, the pain, the healing. The person who is emotionally distraught anc cannot follow chapters, can pick up this book, flip through it, and find words of comfort. This book was a tremendous comfort to me over 20 years ago when I suffered the loss of a love. I bought several copies to share then, and I'm thrilled to know the book is still available. I'm buying several copies again to give to people who need this help.

a Classic

As a young woman widowed twice this became my handbook and years later as a pscyhotherapist I recommend this book to my clients who are going through a divorce or a death. It is comforting to a person grieving. it is speaks to the heart, is comforting, short and easy to read. That is so important for a grieving person because it is very hard to concentrate when you're feeling so bad.

No time for feeling burnt? read this fast!

I read it 3 months after my relationship ended. Took and hour to read... and it gave a decent amount of clarity to the way I'd been feeling. It would have been useful as a quick fix at the begining of my loss... but because of it's bullet point style... understanding some of the ideas may need further clarification. I recommend also reading Rebuilding: When Your Relationship Ends by Bruce Fisher and Mars and Venus Starting Over by John Gray. all three gave me a leg up when I needed it most.

Best Sympathy Card

I have had a copy of this book for over 20 years and I have sent it to people instead of a sympathy card. Almost everyone I have sent it to said that they read it over and over again.
