As an adult who loves children's books (and passes on the best to her nieces and nephews), I read a lot of mediocre to good things. Occasionally a really wonderful book like this comes along, one that is so imaginative and well written that you don't want it to end. I look forward to the next in the series.

An Enchanting Read for the Whole Family

I got this book after reading Orson Scott Card's (Ender's Game series, Alvin Maker series, etc) excellent review and endorsement.

This is a great, easy young-adult read with strong moral content... and it will be enjoyable to young and old.

Holds its own in youth fantasy category

If you enjoy youth books like Harry Potter and Eragon you will enjoy this addition to the youth fantasy genre. For a first book it holds its own and is quite engaging even for an adult.

Did I just watch a movie?

Brandon has created such a colorful and magical world by bringing out the faults of humans, the dangers of magic, and the true side of a faery. This book teaches all of us, of all ages, to obey the rules and not fool with unknown magic. This is one of the most colorful and detailed books I've read. After reading Fablehaven, I woke up the next day and was ready to watch it again. Yes, watch it again. Brandon is extremely vivid with his coloring and imagery I felt like it was a movie. I strongly recommend this to all!!!

FANTASTIC!!

I am not a specific fan to this caetegory of books but I found the book fascinating. After the ball started rolling in it I could not put the book down...and I'm 26!!!Highly recommended!
