Still not like the first ones, but much better.

Although Knife of Dreams doesn't have the same break-neck pace as the first few books of this series, it definitely moves faster than the last few. I was very glad to see some of the plotlines that have been going on for the last three books come to an end. I also have to say that the stuff about the Aelfinn and Eelfinn intrigued me and seems like it's going to make the next book very interesting. I'm really looking forward to that next (and maybe final) one.

Wheel of Time book 11 audiobook

Antoher great performance by Micheal kramer and his wife Kate Reading! I love these audiobooks. Shipping and delivery of this product reduced the rating because it was over two weeks late in arriving.

Finally some excitement!

As the Wheel of Time spins on, I felt that some of Jordan's descriptions were becomming long winded. I almost puked when I read an entire chapter of the prequel novel, A New Spring, about Moraine and Siuan buying dresses! When I opened this book up for the first time, I had braced myself for more long-winded descriptions and endless build-up dialogue, but I was pleasently surprised by the complete opposite. This book was very fast paced and had many exciting parts! I was hooked. This is by far one of the best books, in my opinion. I would like to caution any reader that this book will keep you up into the wee hours of the morning because you can't put it down! A lot of the plot from previous books starts to come together, and the wolf king, the master of battles, and the lord of the morning come closer to Tarmon Gaidon.

A Mesmerizing Read...the series is ready to draw to a close

Like many people, I was somewhat disappointed in Robert Jordans last novel "Crossroads of Twilight" (Book 10). However, the more I thought about it, the more I realized that book 10 *had* to serve as one giant set-up for things to come. I think that "Knife of Dreams" (Book 11) more than made up for it. Robert Jordan is finally bringing everything in line for the big push towards the final chapter.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD:

"Knife of Dreams", in a way, does the same thing that "Crossroads of Twilight" did, with the exception that it was far more interesting. Stuff actually *happened* with major plot points and characterization, whereas in Book 10 it was pretty much all set-up and very little action. By the time you finish reading Book 11, you will have some sense that things are about to start moving pretty fast towards Tarmon Gaidon.

Even though there are a few loose ends that need to be tied up, things are still looking pretty good as far as the next book being the *final* book in the series. I think it will take Robert Jordan 1 book to complete the story, 2 books at the most. There's a light at the end of the tunnel people! I don't know about you, but having a 2-3 year hiatus between books is just killing me!

A few important plot points to note is that by the end of the book Perrin has been reunited with his wife, Faile, (his obsession with getting her back from the rebel clans of the Shaido has preoccupied him for several books), Egwene, though captured by the Aes Sedai residing in the tower, continues to fight for the cause from within the tower walls, and (perhaps most importantly in my opinion) Matt has finally been married to the Daughter of the Nine Moons, which, theoretically, gives him full control over the Seanchan armies! I'm *sure* having the Seanchan armies on his side will greatly aid Rand's fight against the Dark One during Tarmon Gaidon.

Bottom Line, this is a fantastic book. It captivates you and holds you in it's spell until the very end...and of course, by the time you finish reading the last page, you are already desperatly pining for the next book...which is exactly the way it should be!

Way to rebound!!!

I LOVE THIS SERIES... the last couple of books were kind of disappointing to me but this one was EXCELLENT! I am really excited for the last book. The Wheel of Time series (dispite the last couple books) is really worth reading.
