the amazing world of So B. It

I got So B. It in a book order that I got at school, just reading the title told me it would be an amazing, mysterious, intriguing, suspenseful, and like no other book I have ever read! I just fell into this book and I was so into it I would sit up in my room and read for hours and hours. When I was done I told my mother about the book so she started to read it. She read the whole thing in one day because she couldn't put it down. My dad was thinking about the unusual title and he read the last chapter and he was very impressed. You may know what is coming next, but that made me want to read on to see if I was right. This book is so wonderful it is hard for me to put words to it. I mean this book might not be for everyone, it might not be their style but to me and my family it is truely amazing. So B. It!

The book i read, So B. It, by Sarah Weeks, is a realistic fiction book. A thirteen year old girl named Heidi lives with her disabled mother along with the help of their neighbor, Bernadette. When a random word comes up in her mother's vocabulary Heidi is very curious. Her curiosity only grows more and will soon be a on a journey across the country in search of the secrets in her past. In my opinion, So B. It was a very good book. I liked it after the first page because it started off really different. So B. It

The book So B. It, by Sarah Weeks, is about a girl named Heidi who lives with her mentally disabled mother and her next door neighbor. Heidi's mom only knows 23 words; most of them are common, like good, no and hot. But there is one word that no one understands, soof. Heidi would do anything to find the missing puzzle pieces of her mother's past. She goes on a trip to The Hilltop, a mentally disabled home, where her mom stayed. Here Heidi searched to collect as much information as she could. I really thought the author did a great job making the book come to life and it truly made me appreciate that my mom isn't like Heidi's. I think that this book is good for everyone that enjoys reading.

Cornwall,NY Sixth Grader

I am a sixth grader, and I just finished reading So B. It, by Sarah Weeks. This book is touching and gives you anther perspective on how you look at life. So B. It is about a girl named Heidi It. Her mothers name is So B. It. Her mother is mentally disabled and Bernadette, their next door neighbor, looks after Heidi and her mother. Bernadette though has troubles of her own, she can't go outside which leaves Heidi and her mother to run errands for her. Heidi sometimes plays the slots to get money for whatever they need, she has a lucky streak.
The plot of the story starts when Heidi goes looking for what one of her mother's words mean. Heidi's mother, mama, only knows twenty three words. For the most part mama's words make sense. Heidi was Heidi, So B. It was mama and Dette was Bernadette. The only word that did not make sense was soof. Heidi goes on a journey to find out whom, what or the meaning of soof.
I really enjoyed this book because of some of the surprising results from the journey. The people she meets are interesting. I especially like the kindness others show towards her. My favorite part of the book is when Heidi meets Georgia on a bus. Georgia listens to Heidi and tries to understand. I like this about Georgia because she really listens. Georgia's kindness makes me think about how I treat others and how they should be treated.
The most important thing I learned from the book is that even though Heidi's mother can only say twenty three words she still shows love. This book makes you think of what is really important in life which is to know you are loved and being with your loved ones.
