Just Okay

Okay read. Started off slow. Even though I am tired of Curtis and Charlotte, I will read the sequel.

The Curtis Black Chronicles

When we left Curtis in The Best Kept Secret, he had turned over his ministry and began touring to promote his best-selling book. In Love and Lies, Roby turns the focus to Curtis' deceitful and money-hungry wife, Charlotte, whose life and the life of her friend, Janine begins to unravel due to the poor choices that they have made. Daughter Marissa takes a more prominent role in this story, with Roby seemingly "borrowing" from the book The Bad Seed in creating Marissa's character. New characters, Larry, Carl, Antonio and Tabitha are also introduced.

It looks like Roby is reaching the end of this story line, but I'm certainly going to read Sin No More to see if she develops the Curtis/Tabitha story and to see where she goes from here. I enjoyed this book even though it was mostly dialogue. Once I got into it, I didn't want to stop until I got to the end. Fine literature this certainly isn't, but it was a fun read for me. I wouldn't be surprised to see this whole Curtis Black thing become a TV series - it could work.

forgiveness

I loved the book. I am still reading but am enjoying this book I pray that Rev. Black and his famlily will seek forgiveness and give forgiveness.

Curtis and Charlotte do it again...

This was a great book, as always Kimberla wrote a great story. I can't believe that after everything Charlotte and Curtis have done they still come out on top. Although they do endure some hard times they come out good all in all.
