Great book for Star Wars Lovers

My husband is a Star Wars "geek" and he says this is the best book he has ever read. I think that is high praise.

Wow

I got this for my 14 year old son and myself. I can't get over how cool this book is !! So much behind the scenes info. I worked at a theater for the initial release of Star Wars and this book gives me information about a movie that I thought I already knew everything about.

The Best of Star Wars

Well. As of 34 year old kid who simply loves Star Wars, and as a collector of all the "art of" and "making of" Star Wars books, this is the cherry on top of the sundae, even though I would not touch a cherry with a ten foot pole. This book is for any huge fan of Star Wars who has wanted to sit down with George Lucas and ask him: "How did you do this?" and "Why did you do that?" or "How was this done?" and whatever else you might want to know. There is a lot of information in the book about the exchanges between the studios and Lucas. Not pleasant how it all went done, but the details include how obviously George was the victor. The illustrations are many, familiar, and all beautiful. To put it plain: If you are going to own one Star Wars book,...this is it my fellow fans,...this...is...it!!!!

Good book. Great condition. Getting this book in paperback is just fine, but if you want this book in hardcover, amazon is the best bang for your buck.

A treasure trove

I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in the making of Star Wars. The author covers all aspects of the movie and is chock full of paintings, photos, manuscript pages, and poster art. The story unfolds chronologically and after each chapter the author lists the new elements of each draft of the screenplay as it progresses toward the final version. Lots of great trivia and insight into the epic struggle to make Star Wars.
