Opal Lockhart has the quietest spirit of the four Lockhart sisters, which is a tremendous help, she is the executive assistant to an autocratic, demanding boss. Opal loves her job, tolerates her boss during work hours, and fantasizes about him at night. She knows better than her meddling sisters that her boss is too classy for her; still a girl can dream.

D'Marcus Armstrong is a self-made millionaire; he is the primary owner of a professional basketball team, and part owner of several sporting good stores. D'Marcus values Opal's work ethics and her commitment to her job. And what Opal doesn't know is that she is not the only one having feverish dreams. He invites Opal on a business trip to San Francisco, to meet with several businessmen about opening new stores, and Opal goes into a mild panic. But she is not in this alone, the Lockhart sisters and cousins have her back. Recognizing Opal interest in D'Marcus, they coerce her into getting a makeover just in case; the results are awesome. Her sassy look says D'Marcus you'd better look out, and being the savvy businessman he is, he does just that.

IN BED WITH HER BOSS is the first book in the Lockhart series and the kickoff is 'all that'. It is a challenging story about finding love in the workplace, and Opal learns first hand when it comes to matters of the heart, they are in a class by themselves. The introduction to this vivacious family is comical and entertaining. And readers learn in a hurry, with a family like theirs you don't need other drama.

Brenda Strikes Again!!

I love every book that Ms. Jackson pens! This book is no different! She is a profound storyteller! Excellent book!

Now This is How You Start Off a Series!!

Brenda Jackson sets the foundation of the first Kimani series and did a wonderful job! In this story we met Opal and her boss D'Marcus. To Opal D'Marcus is not the best boss in the world attitude wise but she still trys to be nice and reach out to him. D'Marcus is standoffish to Opal because he is attracted to her. They find out their attraction to each other and act on it. And boy do the ACT on it. Mrs J can craft some love scenes!! Still D'Marcus keeps Opal at arms length because of past hurt. Mrs J. does a good job introducing the rest of the Lockhart sisters and other key characters to the series. If you are a fan of Mrs. J's work them you will enjoy this book.

"Talk About Fringe Benefits"

What a nice start to a series. This novel was interesting, alittle slow at times but I liked it. The chemistry between D'marcus and Opal was hot but I didn't like how Opal was willing to settle for just an affair with him. She should have seen where the relationship was going before she gave up her goodies, but as with all Brenda Jackson novels, in the end the main characters fall in love.. yadda yadda yadda.
