Great Study Guide For CBEST

I took the CBEST in October 2007, but didn't pass it, I bought Cracking The CBEST and reviewed it every night, and took the CBEST again in December 2007, this time I passed the Reading Section, came very close to passing the Writing Section, but didn't pass the Math Section.

This book is wonderful, because the author teaches you methods that are easy to understand and use when taking the CBEST. I also found the author to be very easy to understand.

The BEST way to "crack" the CBEST!

I bought "Cracking the CBEST" only a couple of weeks before the test, and studied only a few hours total. Nevertheless, Cracking the CBEST provided many great study tips, shortcuts, and test-taking tactics that helped bring me up to speed quickly, and made me feel confident I could pass the test scheduled for Oct 6. Sure enough, I just got my test scores a couple of days ago and I passed! I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to pass the CBEST test the first time around. I give it 5 Stars and a big A+!

TOOK THE CBEST OCTOBER 2007 - 1st TIME PASS

Got this book on Septemeber 10th for the CBEST test October 6th.

I am not a teacher, and not in school to be one, just thought I would take the test to see if I could pass to become a substitute teacher to maybe change careers later to be a teacher.

This book was 100% right on the money. I passes all three sections with no trouble at all -- it was a very easy exam. Everything in the book was on the test (the actual test was easier) and by following the book I passed the CBEST my first time, no experience, only about 3 weeks to study.

GET THIS BOOK IF YOU WANT TO PASS THE CBEST!

A Must Have For Teachers to be

Do not, I repeat do not take the CBEST without some kind of preparation. Especially if you have been out of school for awhile. This book was so helpful. I strongly recommend it to those that are preparing to teach. It will open your eyes and gives a great heads up of what you will be walking into. That test is long, too long. Without this guide I think that I would have really been overwhelmed by all the content that was covered on the exam. I believe that without it, I probably wouldn't have passed. Good Luck to you future teachers of the world.

Strong Study Guide

I purchased this book and the Cliffs Test Prep for CBEST a few months ago. I reviewed primarily from the Princeton text and found the material relevant and useful. I jumped back and forth to both books for their practice tests. I passed with flying colors in December 2007 and thought the questions on the CBEST best mirrored the material in the Princeton CBEST review. This is a good resource ... Good luck!!!
