Charming book, charming author

This book is fabulous--easily the best in a wonderful series. And I have chatted with author Candace Havens on myspace, and she is just as charming and down-to-earth as her protagonist. (I don't know if she has any magical powers, though, you'd have to ask her.) I highly recommend all the books in the "charmed" world!

Fun, new concept

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It was frothy but also kept me interested and amused -- just what a summer read should do. I will read more by this author.

CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT!

This was absolutly amazing! I love the spin off of Charmed and Dangerous! It was truly wonderful to get an insight into another characters life. When you already get glimses. Its like really getting into you friends minds to see how they see the world!

I truly cant wait for the next on to come out! This is a must have collection!

Continuity?

I was all set to love this book. Having read the previous three and enjoyed them, I picked up this one not realizing that it focused on one of the supporting characters from the other books.

That wasn't a problem as I thought the supporting characters from the Brownwyn books were pretty strong in their own right. My problem with this book is the lack of continuity with the previous. I can overlook a couple of things, e.g. ages, eye color, etc. However, the entire time line of the book contradicts what was described in the previous. How Kira met Caleb, how the relationship develops, how her psychic powers develop, how she uses them, etc., EVERYTHING contradicts what was said previously, which is pretty jarring. I found myself trying to make everything fit and reconcile it with what I know already happened rather than focusing on the story. I understand not wanting to involve Brownwyn too much but this lack of coherence seriously makes me think twice about reading anything else Candace Havens writes. Its as if the spin off(s) were not well thought out and demonstrates a lack of respect for a reader's intelligence.

Charming!

A quick and fun read and I loved that the focus of the story was a library. The characters and story worked well and will look forward to the next one in the series.
